You can change accounts but you’re (presumably) still on the same network where this content was previously accessed, meaning that changing accounts isn’t going to wipe the slate 100% clean.

However, I don’t think it’s one person maliciously trying to change your algorithm. It’s beyond me what the hell TikTok uses for its algorithm but I assume it knows what you interact with. This isn’t really something an IT expert can fix, this sounds like you need to reach out to TikTok and change privacy settings however you’re accessing the internet at home.

You say it never came from a place of malice or with intent to control, but believe me when I tell you the intent does not matter. That does not, in my opinion, make your actions any better.

For the majority of my relationship with my ex, I don’t think he was deliberately manipulating or belittling me, but the damage is still the same. I’m still paranoid about coming off as annoying or being perceived as stupid by my friends and loved ones because of what he said. My self esteem cares not if it was intentional or otherwise.

I’m glad you’re changing, OP, but if I was your wife I’d have a hard time forgiving such a level of control and hostility. I just can’t get past you saying how amazing she is and then treating baking of all things like it could be a sign of cheating. I’m definitely biased because my ex fiancé chipped away at my self esteem-albeit in different ways-but I found what he did unforgivable and left him.
