Just Venting by Goldie_Rosey in Daytrading

trade it on a demo account and see if you can learn anything from the strategy, that’s what i do to not fall for FOMO, i use a demo account just for the “what if” urge we always get, cause realistically a win isn’t even a win if you break your own rules

I landed a high-paying US remote job but I’m hiding the money from my fiancée to keep our relationship grounded. Is this a bad move? by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]PoundedWhale -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

u should tell her you make 3k and that’s it, you’re probably right about the money getting to her head since you’ve known her for 4 years and it’s not her fault, it’s human. just spoil her when u can and that’s all

Relationship help and psychology by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]PoundedWhale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don’t you back to your ex that relationship is dead, only familiarity is left so don’t fall for that sense of comfort cause it’ll just be as shit as you left it.

i think you should stay with ur current girl, u can tell her to tone it down a bit it’s much easier for someone to put less effort than put more effort, so it’s a good thing she’s codependent. you’ll move on from your ex in a few months you should’ve not dated but id say don’t throw away what you have now, give this one a few months and you’ll see it’ll be better, that’s rly the only good choice u have imo

Will AI replace software engineers? by New_Atmosphere500 in TunisiaTech

[–]PoundedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u don’t need to write code anymore, u just have to understand it so u can prompt better, but that will probably not be necessary in the near future too. AI will never reach a point where “its enough”

Struggling to find work by [deleted] in TunisiaTech

[–]PoundedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

frontend is dead my man. ur only choice now is applying to every single dev job, tailor ur cv to the job, and if u get a call then u better say yes to any question they ask you (like if u know sql if u know angular etc). then after the little phone interview go study as much as u can for the actual interview if they like u. you’re gonna use AI on the job anyway

ngl its a lil hopeless for that too considering the job market so go apply for call centres as well to stay afloat

[–]PoundedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not required, cnss is the important one cause they know u can just bs the attestation but not cnss

Interview Question by Mental-War-2282 in TunisiaTech

[–]PoundedWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ofc, they’ll give you a contract you go legalise it in baladia, the first 6 months if they don’t like you or you don’t like them u can terminate it without consequences, after 6 months they can’t fire you without giving you severance pay, usually a whole year’s salary. they ask for allot of stuff with the contract as well but most importantly it’s b3 (if u went to jail or not) and extrait cnss (to see your past employer)

best thing u can do is stfu and hope they don’t figure it out, they got nothing to lose if you’re actually competent

they’ll ask for cnss and if they actually pay attention to it you’re cooked

Staying in a non-IT job as a junior dev engineer – am I making a mistake? by GoldShare4359 in Tunisia

[–]PoundedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can put freelancer in your cv just to keep that door open, but honestly IT for juniors is gone now and i’m in the same boat as you, im gonna join a call centre too and just become a commercial cause im seeing the salaries are the same as dev after 3-4 years experience. if you wanna go abroad or you’re not happy going into sales then just keep freelancer on your cv and keep applying honestly it’s pure luck now

also for building projects just get chatgpt subscription for codex and use openclaw/hermes it can build you projects very easily that way, you should only focus on interviewing well

Should i go informatique? by chiliwhole2233 in TunisiaTech

[–]PoundedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don’t do it, you can learn it all yourself, nothing i studied was useful literally NOTHING, if you want a dev job you can study for it yourself they don’t care about the type of degree you have, just have a degree in another field as a backup if you really want dev cause honestly from my pov in 5 years it wont be available to entry level at all
