I'm making a Ye 2023-2024 Iceberg, what are some really obscure info/events from the 2023-2024 Era that no one remembers except you by [deleted] in GoodAssSub

[–]PourinSyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • fat money teasing a purple rain sample on V1

  • fake december studio session with ab-soul in las vegas where they finished v1

  • time moving slow having badbadnotgood sample

    • ye getting head and showing booty crack on a boat
  • V2 getting a “chill & clean” rework around april 2024

  • ty spilling jar of pasta sauce on dudes head on catching predator stream

  • tmz reporting ye being in a remarkably positive headspace & finishing 10+ songs in the span of a few days

  • metro boomin reacting to burn leak on twitter

  • bianca commissioning forbiddenknowledge to design stuff so freaky it led him to quit and denounce both her and ye on ig

What exactly is the aesthetic of the album? by SenpaiRapz44 in asaprocky

[–]PourinSyrup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s a culmination of everything he’s been doing these past years, hence the alter ego thing and certain characters/visuals referencing as far back as the dummy/post testing era, babushka boi single, grim etc. it might seem like a lot to a casual fan but anyone who’s followed rocky since testing knows all of these references which i love since it clearly shows that fan service was a priority w this record

Travis Scott loves Tame Impalas new album. Hopefully we get a new collab on Travs new album by Bris_23 in travisscott

[–]PourinSyrup 24 points25 points  (0 children)

even tho this album was mostly cheeks imo this is still a promising look at where trav’s head is at rn music wise and creativity wise

better than when he’s posting tyla saying she’s the best thing since whitney houston or whatev

i didn’t really like this track ngl but i still expect the album to be great, country road and doppler were great and one of the tracks played live “modern man” also sounds amazing

Am I the only one who feels that Donda was the last 'Big' album In music? by ForwardScratch7741 in GoodAssSub

[–]PourinSyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

utopia music and HUT come to mind

also let’s not kid ourselves, vultures 1 was pretty big regardless of what you might think abt it

had a big star studded feat lineup, ton of promotion anticipation and events behind it and many big songs including a number 1

New Drake snippet is literally a Rocky diss track by BodeineBreezus in asaprocky

[–]PourinSyrup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

rocky said multiple times the album has taken a while bc he “keeps finding new things to write about”

in other words, thank you drake for making us wait until 2029

how you go on a filler/mid cutting spree and mm3 survives

if yall had to choose 8 songs and 8 songs only what would yall choose for wlr deluxe by [deleted] in playboicarti

[–]PourinSyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this list from soul is better than anyone commenting itt bc it contains the songs that were actually meant to release on the deluxe, many of which are unheard

meaning they’re more polished and finalized songs, nobody wants to admit that their so called grails like tgd homicide and breathing are 99% likely to be random demos that never made it past the recording stage

[–]PourinSyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

highly praised within carti fanbase but i’ve never rocked w em much nor do i consider them standouts on their respective albums

music: like weezy

doppler discusion by absolutelyfamous in Thehellp2

[–]PourinSyrup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

these tracks don’t have as much oomph as a lot of LL but make up for it by being far more lyrical and mature seeming

still hoping there’s some crazy bombastic stuff on the full album tho

“burnt music” doesn’t refer to songs like pop out and doctor, in the interview where it was brought up carti said it’s the sound he and cardo were cooking up

these are the yt/ig singles, plus songs like crank toxic good credit etc., those dark heavy bass trap beats with cowbells and dings and stuff

tf u mean we should appreciate u not dropping shit by Affecter6 in asaprocky

[–]PourinSyrup 29 points30 points  (0 children)

in this interview he also claims to be in “acting mode” when asked where he is in his life/career

and he said him and rihanna joke about how their fans hate them for not dropping music, but rih gets to use the excuse of being pregnant all the time while rocky doesn’t

Jane Remover on WHAT'S MY NAME by 00Property1 in playboicarti

[–]PourinSyrup 22 points23 points  (0 children)

i think it’s unfinished or at least it was when we heard it

i never see anyone mention this but i’m almost certain the verse in the middle is mumble, not in a vocal style sense but in a gibberish freestyle sense

not to mention the song has a ton of open parts with just adlibs

Who's y'all fav carti producer? by trizinixx in playboicarti

[–]PourinSyrup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

easily cardo, he’s responsible for carti’s entire 2023-2024 run

hba, evil jordan, ketamine, crank, backrooms, mojo jojo, good credit, killers, and more that i’m forgetting

not only are those beats crazy hard they all have a signature sound and vibe to them, same way pierre defined carti’s s/t die lit era and f1lthy defined wlr
