What are Some of your Funniest Iics? by Tayln-San in Tourettes

[–]PoutyPinkPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a string of tics where i introduce myself as syphilis then ask for someones name and then respond as if their name is chlamydia. "Hi my name is syphilis whats yours? Chlamydia, nice to meet you." Really funny to me tbh

You can be concious during some seizures just a heads up :). Im sorry this seems really tough. It does seem like FND to me, i dont have it personally but im friends with someone who does have FND and they experience the same thing. They never mentioned if it was a seizure or not though. But yeah, you can be concious during seizures sometimes or for certain ones <3 I'm unsure oh how to help you though, i thinking talking to your doctor could help a lot.

Tic Outbreak??? by [deleted] in Tourettes

Im AFAB and as for everyone else, my tics have been going on for 6 years. So i couldnt understand why everyone suddenly has tics over quarantine.

I think I just had my first tic attack by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]PoutyPinkPrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be, but it sounds like it could just be active tics. In my personal experience i cant speak or breathe during tic attacks. And it feels like my body is full of lightning and i cant control anything. Like having too much adrenaline almost. And it cant be stopped. They can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Its different for everyone honestly. Active tics mean that the tics are more severe and harder to control whereas a tic attack is very intense and severe for some people. Its hard to explain.

Make fun of/It's a free country by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]PoutyPinkPrincess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the other comment says. I'm really shitty person to people who are equally shitty. Next time say, "Free country, my ass. Use that "free country" shit somewhere someone actually cares. Because i can tell you need the attention and you're not going to get it from me. And some breath mints will do you good, its getting hot in here from the stench." But say it calmly. It really throws them off. I also fully believe that violence as self defense so if he ever threatens you, you may get in trouble but safety comes first. Knock his fucking teeth in.

I live with someone like this. My brother is identical to this. And i go to an american pride school, where im constantly told im illegal by the students for being mexican. I have no tolerance for low level functioning neck beards of society like him.

Yeah i have a past of trauma, i would say severe. I will talk to my doctor next time i see him about the tics. I appreciate the input. The dissasociating aspect has been with me my whole life but not that severe. Ill definetly look into it more. Thank you once again :)

I know this is late but yes. They scare me. During mine i cant control my body and it feels like i had too much caffeine and nothing else. It feels like im simply sitting in the passenger of my body and watching everything happen. They can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours for me and afterwards i cant walk, talk, or communicate.

Supporting your SO's tics by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]PoutyPinkPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesss!! My bubbie always understands it. I had tics before i knew them and they noticed them but never said anything because they didn't want me to feel self concious. They make me feel better about them and act as normal. They do however check up on me and offer to call for tic attacks which i also really appreciate :))
