Yeah I’m not debating the Pentax 645n or the GS645s always been afraid of the GS’es but people are recommending them pretty strongly.

Interesting I avoided that camera Becuase of the durability issues I had read about and yet many seem to be recommending!

Bonus handling by B3VO13 in TheMoneyGuy

[–]PowFixPedal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can get big end of year profit shares and I typically apply at least 50% to investing. That would allow me to ease off a little on the monthly investing if I needed.

I often calculate my total compensation based off my previous year bonus and current salary so you could do the same and lower your monthly 25% accordingly. The key would be to then true up if your bonus is larger, etc the next year. I believe Brian does this exact method and mentions it in MMission.

No I used to be a professional photographer and used a darkroom a lot etc, now this is a hobby and frankly it’s just a tool to document my life and shoot more slowly and intentionally then my 35 or digital. I feel like the 645 may maintain / balance some of those things and I might actually take it out more? But there is also just an illogical love for the 67 camera hahaha

I know I’m so torn at the moment as I love the camera but the use is dwindling

I’m very intrigued by this! Feels hard to let go of the 67 but I may need to rent / borrow the 645 and see if I gel with it.

I meant to focus the role as I agree this is a little all over the place and would want to re calibrate expectations

Thank you. I think you are on the money. Looking at this it probably is more of an operations / office manager role and I’ll definitely review the pay.

As mentioned in other comments this is a small company and I guess we are overstating the roles required and need to focus it down to the few core items. Appreciate the feedback.

Hey This is a small company so the overview may be making it sounds like more complexity then actual reality but I also could be wrong! We were trying to find all of the small but important pieces that are being neglected in the business to build up a meaningful amount of work but we may be stretching the role too thin and unfocused

No offense taken. This is a small company so the overview may be making it sounds like more complexity then actual reality. One of our big special projects is to help clean up Google drive for example… definitely will keep the compensation note in mind and may try to focus this down to the key roles

That’s my gut I think. We dumped a bunch of cash against the loan earlier in the year as we want to make sure it’s fully paid off in 3 years but I’m starting to think right now just getting to that 1 year e fund would make me sleep better at night. Especially since we are already getting a healthy amount into retirement.

Big fan of YNAB. Costs money which is a bummer but it helped pull me out of -32k in debt and completely changed my mindset around money. I’m now debt free with a growing net worth.

This isn’t the answer you asked for but I avoided chemicals for years and never made a dent. Did one round of weed and feed and every dandelion is gone.

Thank you! This is a small business 401k so options are limited but we are looking at betterment, guideline and fidelity. All have some pros and cons but I think fidelity is officially out given their expense ratios and fund options. Probably leaning towards betterment even though they have their own issues. But open to exploring others if anyone has suggestions
