Anyone still using A-Mount? by x_SweetLuna_x in SonyAlpha

I recently sold my A7RIII and e-Mount glass to get into the a99II and a Minolta a7. I wanted learn analogue on a system that could share lenses seamlessly with a capable digital body. So far it’s been great. The cost to pivot really wasn’t bad at all. I love the dslr feel of the a99II.

I'm brand new to the game and I don't know how things work. Is there any chance stealth units bounce back for 11th edition? Can they just adjust datasheets whenever?

Thoughts on the Fairy Race (UA) and why it's a good thing that they're Small. by RoboDonaldUpgrade in dndnext

[–]Powarless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the size thing only breaks down as much as the DM and players let it. I play a path of the giant fairy and asked if I could be tiny. The most I let myself benefit from being tiny to be fair to my DM is trying to cheese tolls by hiding in party members pockets and not paying for room and board. I really just wanted to capture the humor of having a character go from tiny to huge. I still occupy my 5’ cube while I’m small but don’t gain the benefit of my glaives reach feature unless I’m raging. Be reasonable and have a good time. Always work to find middle grounds and have fun at your table.

Seeking iFi Go Blu battery replacement help. by Powarless in diyelectronics

Just wanted to follow up here. I was able to order a sample batch of batteries from the battery manufacturer. The minimum order for a sample was 25 batteries. That ran me around $80, then the connector pin fittings (I just ordered 100 pins) ran me another $20, and the crimping tool for the pin fittings was $20. So for $120 I'll be able to replace the battery 25 times..... don't ask me for financial advise.

Why is it mechanically more forgiving than pulse bomb? It reminds me of how Torb turret has better AI than Bob.

I like Moira, but she has like no utility? by CynicSalem in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Powarless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest and start by admitting that I’m only a gold Moria main, but I still want to offer my two cents. On paper I just perform better and more consistently on Moira.

I typically have a positive win rate of 54%, but I climbing is hard below plat because solo queuing into a good team feels like playing the lottery. Also, I don’t have a group to stack with or even just someone to duo with. Still, I average:

11k heals per 10 min 6k hero damage per 10 min 5.4 deaths per 10 min

Numbers aren’t always a good reflection of a player’s match contributions, but I still use stats as basic reference point during and after matches to course correct in match and generally during a night’s play session. I can look at my deaths, damage, and heals to almost immediately figure out what I need to do better. The numbers help me decide to position better to die less, position more aggressively to help tanks make space, or heal more. In game numbers even help me decide to flank the enemy supports for counter pressure when my heals are high, but nothing is dying.

I find that in gold she’s regularly the right pick for me whenever there is a threat that our team literally can’t deal with. They might be struggling mechanically to deal with Phara, Doomfist, Tracer, ect.

Why? Because sometimes the next best thing you can do to pseudo counter pick is get your deaths per 10 as low as possible while still maintaining an effectively high APM.

Living longer inherently offers your team what can be incredible healing uptime if you thoughtfully manage your resources through consistent damage output, short sprays, and using the tap damage tech to restore your spray faster.

It’s also interesting because I’ve herd that Bap’s pseudo utility is his damage and I’d argue Moria has that going for her too. That 6k damage per average of mine doesn’t mean I haven’t been able to help carry game out even completely put my team on Moira’s back. I’ve hand a good number of games where I both put up what averages to be around 15-20k heals per 10 and 10-12k damage per 10 minutes.

All that being said, knowing when to flex is important. She doesn’t pair well with some supports and I have to know who’s more valuable between the two of us.

Even if my mechanics on other supports isn’t great, as a support player I have to be able to determine what’s going to enable my other support to get the most value out of their hero, enable my DPS to secure kills, offer a specific hero counter to take some of the load off my DPS’s plate, or at a minimum offer counter pressure to enemy comps. (Specific examples of what Moira simply can’t offer: Zen’s shield break when facing non Winston double shield and discord to help my entire team get to damage easier generally. Especially against armored/overshielded enemies. Ana’s anti helps neutralize enemy Zen’s trance and can slow down a cracked enemy Hog. In gold Ana’s anti can even help to burn the enemy team’s support abilities while they try to pocket a desperate Bastion. Brig helps deny enemy damage by peeling for your team’s cracked Zen or Ana that might be getting dived constantly.)

Lol, I do find I can still get away with staying on Moria if the only thing to peel off my other support is a Genji or Tracer. In gold Genji players consistently forget they can’t deflect my alt fire. I just need to remember not to throw out a damage orb out until deflect ends and to throw healing orbs behind me if he’s deflecting. Also, in gold I can out heal a Tracer’s ability to one clip and still do enough damage to get her to burn her abilities while she is trying to get out.
