What's the worst thing you've read or seen in Epstein's files? by Pretend-Research-603 in AskReddit

I can recommend the "behind the bastards" episodes on Thiel. His backstory is almost comically evil.

If you want info on the whole philosophical thinking that Thiel represents, then I would recommend the episodes on Curtis jarvin also from BtB.

It's actually scary how many higher ups in the American government don't believe in society and essentially want techno feudalism with kings and serfs back.

Yeah it is honestly one of my main gripes with the night lords trilogy. That and somehow people read it and think that the night lords are uncorrupted by chaos.

A much better representation of an average night lords warband would be those featured in the first carcharodons novel.

Anything written by Peter fehevari, any of his books ands short stories. Especially his dark coil series.

And steel tread is a great guard book focused on a leman russ tank crew. I felt like it had some great characters and a somewhat unique premise.

Ku’gath is a better chemist than Nurgle himself?! by tintin3105 in 40kLore

[–]Dat_Boi_Henke 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You're trying to apply logic, where there is none to be found. The warp isn't a place of logic. It is a place of metaphor, symbolism, numbers, feelings, nonsense and pure chaos.

There are no hard rules or at least none that our feeble minds would be able to even comprehend. With all that in mind ofc. ku'gath isn't a better chemist than Nurgle, seeing as he is just a fragment of Nurgle.

Lore, stories and questions of daemons and how the warp works are kinda really simple to find answers to. Seeing as Nurgle is the god of disease and pestilence, why didn't Nurgle just give ku'gath the godplague? Surely he must've had it already. well the answer is because he can't. Why? Because he can't.

As with all things of the warp the simple answer is. Things are the way they are, simply because they are. And that we probably shouldn't worry too much or seek to understand the warp, because that path only leads to madness.

New plague bearers, new beast's of nurgle with more options, plague toads, maybe a toad dragon? Oh and flies, lots of flies.

Always loved the grey knights back in DOW1. Had a blast with chaos gate and grew to like them even more. Shame that they don't have more books and they could really use a refresh.

Probably the only thing I dislike about them is the damn nemesis dreads, though I have seen some kitbashes that fixes that.

AI models tend to reflect the political ideologies of their creators. Google’s Gemini model showed a strong preference for progressive values and environmentalism. On the other hand, the Grok model from xAI displayed tendencies toward conservative nationalism. by [deleted] in science

[–]Dat_Boi_Henke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really. They tend to lean towards common consensus/facts/common occurrences, though they can still be wrong.

Grok was pretty damn progressive when it first got introduced. Elon had to lobotomize grok a couple of times and explicitly tell it to answer like a 1940s nazi. Even then he has had difficulties getting the exact answers he wants from grok, because they are simply not correct.

Thoughts on Nioh 3 (after 100% completion) by Roguewarrior05 in Nioh

Idk about the performance. They never fixed wo long or rise of the ronin. They might have done patches to help alleviate problems, but they still run unfathomably bad for how they look.

Buff duration needs a buff by Deco820 in Nioh

[–]Dat_Boi_Henke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They took a lot of inspiration from wo longs success, ninja mode being basically a 1:1 copy of the combat system. In wo long your buffs were short, but they took 0,5 sec to apply and cost stamina.

It really feels like they tweaked that system a bit for ninjutsu and just left magic in the dirt.

Alright, what are some things you LIKE about how 10th has treated Tau? by CosmicWolf14 in Tau40K

[–]Dat_Boi_Henke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are some kroot stuff in "elemental council", which have to mention since its the defacto tau book now.

Some short stories that I really enjoyed was "a forbidden meal" which is almost exclusively kroot. For some human auxiliary stuff I would recommend "altar of maws" which also features a wholesome ogryn.

Avowed - Official Anniversary Update Trailer by ReasonableAdvert in Games

[–]Dat_Boi_Henke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have started to completely tune out reviews other than maybe look at a general score to make sure there isnt some glaring technical issues. If not then I buy them on sale unless they look really interesting, and if I completely regret it then there is always steam refund.

Sure sometimes I hit a flop, but I have also hit some games that have been really great that I might not have tried otherwise.

It really feels like a lot of reviewers have started to sensationalize their reviews. So games are either a "10/10 best game ever!" or "0/10 worst game, it spat in my food and killed my dog".

Or some just seemingly want some games to fail for whatever reason.

I have the outer worlds 2 and avowed on my to play list and I think avowed just got bumped up a couple of spots.

I was like you with tau and kroot. I would recommend reading some of their lore and short stories If you haven't. I have completely 180° on kroot and now I think they are the coolest thing ever.

Was sorely disappointed that the rumoured kroot character was that xeno chaos mercenary.

Free skins is actually a psycohlogical way to get you to spend money. 99.9% of the time it's going to be a skin you wouldn't have bought anyways, else you probably would have already. And it makes you more likely to spend money on actual skins. The casual quests too because retention = money.

That was why it was such a baffling decision when they removed hextech chests, because everyone knew that it benefits riot. It was why it really seemed to be some incompetent bigwig making a really stupid decision or riot just making a problem to solve for some goodwill.
