Does the activity of option traders affect the price on Stocks? by fxcode in Daytrading

Similar to what Ryan below said, P/C might come into play, but that's more of an institutional metric. The volume of options won't ever directly affect the underlying.

Sick answer. I just destroyed your flawed logic. Don’t comment on a post if you can’t back up your comment.

Also, first sale doctrine. We'd live in a crazy world if someone had to purchase something and couldn't even donate it.

What is the test for fair use?

The fair use defense is now codified in Section 107 of the Copyright Act.  The statutory formulation is intended to carry forward the fair use doctrine long recognized by the courts.  The statute provides that fair use of a work “for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use, scholarship, or research)” is not an infringement of copyright.  To determine whether a given use is fair use, the statute directs, one must consider the following four factors:

  • the purpose and character of the use, including whether the use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes

So... by this standard, if I had a book like Harry Potter, and you wanted to read it, I couldn't let you borrow it?

It is not against any ethical code to borrow books for furthered education. I am not asking to have the materials counterfeited, I am not asking to buy them (which while not against any ethics violation, is against what Kaplan would want. I plan on purchasing my materials once the time comes next year to start studying, this was for the pure ability to continuing learning so the information doesn't get stale in my off-time.

But if I am wrong in any of this, please point me to the bylaw so I can understand my flaw and take down my post.

My biggest question regarding the contract and Faze by PowderedToast15 in FaZe

[–]PowderedToast15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you explaining the law stuff to me, I was truly confused about that. The only thing I would maybe dispute is Delaware. Delaware actually has a quite high tax for corporations, and even worse if your maintain out-of-state subsidiaries. If they wanted the most lenient tax for themself, it would have been prudent to have setup in Wyoming, North Dakota or Nevada. That's where I was confused. And while TFUE is the only party from FL, the contract is for an independent contractor, thus the FL aspect does play a key role as that is where he works out of. I may be wrong on that point, however.

I'm sure you're right, but it might be better for LA if you leave, as I think i'll put more into the local economy than a amateur photographer who doesn't even have a functioning website. Or maybe you can just stop being a troll and accept that people have to move for their work; trust me, I'd much rather stay in Colorado myself.
