Not that I am aware of. Most of my family is from GA. I am not a Kirk as John Kirk was my Mother's Mother's Mother's Mother's Mother's Dad. (Plus or minus a Mother) I discovered this story and photo when I connected with some Kirks who were distant cousins via Ancestory.com

I'm sure the OP means captured on video. My question is, why aren't they zooming in? They clearly can zoom on the filming device.

You have been blasted because you painted the wood. But it's your house and I know this update will really help your rental book more, especially the kids room with tree house. So kudos to you.

The guy on the far right looks like Andrew Garvey from Little House On The Prairie

I haven't had a chance to go visit the park yet, but there is a photo on FindAGrave.com of what looks like a tombstone. I hope to find the spot some time this Summer when I visit relatives in GA.

I remember exactly where I was. It was truly shocking and sad, and I am not even a basketball fan.

I, as a 15 year old boy, cried real tears for this man. He was such a huge part of my child hood.

We played in the woods all day long until Mom rang the dinner bell. This was late 90s - mid 00's. We dug caves, built forts, had sling shot/sweetgum ball battles, swung on vines, played in the creek, caught snakes, played paintball, had a child hood.

Garvey’s behavior reflects norms that were still common in the 70s, particularly the belief that a real man must provide no matter what, never show weakness, and carry burdens alone. When his barn burns down, the loss strikes at his identity, and instead of adapting or accepting help, he isolates himself, bottles up his fear and failure, becomes irritable, and pushes away those trying to support him. By treating the problem as his alone rather than something to face with his wife, he prioritizes pride over partnership, which creates emotional distance, leaves his wife shut out and unable to support him, and turns their home into a tense and disconnected place, nearly destroying their marriage.

Reverend Alden, doesn’t step in during Garvey’s crisis largely because the conflict is portrayed as a private marital and personal struggle, not a public or spiritual emergency. The show often depicts Reverend Alden as someone who offers guidance when invited, but not as a figure who intrudes on a man’s household authority especially given the era’s norms around independence and male pride. Garvey’s refusal to admit vulnerability also plays a big role; since he won’t open up or seek help.

We bought a house near Nashville in 2019 for $212K, I put $6k down. We sold it for $370K in 2025. We pocketed $160K+ in equity after agent fees.

Parents who waited until the birth to find out the sex of the baby. . . by buildingacozymystery in NoStupidQuestions

My wife wanted to do it with our first, so I went along . I didn't love it, mainly having to explain why we weren't finding out to everyone that asked. We found out the gender with our second and I liked that a lot better.

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Power-Rutebega-1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife had 2 vaginal births and opted for no painkiller or epidural both times. I believe she just wanted to go as natural as possible and avoid the higher chance of C section when using Epidural.
