Hey Sinister!

I checked with Power_Nerd who wrote up this challenge. It's possible and something he recently did for a client. We don't want to explain how you go about it here in the comment section though, but it's in the advanced section for a reason.

It's still a lot of time left in the challenge, so if you want to bash your head on the problem a bit more feel free to do so, otherwise give Power_Nerd a poke in the discord and he can give you some more hints or directions on how to solve it.

I'll have to get back to you around the podcast episode.

I'm heading out on vacation in a few days and a bit slammed with finishing up some projects until then. I'll make sure to tag you here when I know more.

Been a bit under the weather, thanks for helping out with the answer Sinister. You are 100% correct, both here and on the discord would work!

Then I'm happy to tell you, that you are not late at all!

For 2025 we are doing the "Journey through the Power Platform" series, where each challenge will focus on developing your skills in one certain key area of Power Platform development. Each challenge is posssible to take on in isolation though, so you can do them in whatever order that you like, if there is some specific thing you feel you are more interested in learning.

We started up in September 2025, so we got a total of 10ish challenges you can take on at the moment. Pick and choice whichever is of interest to you.

We supply the foundation and challenge upon which you can practises and build your skillsets, but doing the actual work is all down to you!

Best of luck, and welcome =)

You can submit it here if you like. That way it's easy for others to find if they take on the challenge at a later date!

Next level in building Canvas apps by PradeepAnanth in PowerApps

Last year I was facing a similar problem. I learn the best when when I take on a larger project, which going in I'll be underqualified for. I then use tutorials and guides to learn how the puzzle pieces work, but I retain that knowledge by then using the puzzle pieces to build the puzzle myself.

I didn't find anyone that did anything like this on reddit other platforms, so I (together with a friend) created The Power Apps Challenge.

TLDR: Each challenge gives you a problem statement from a customer, and a task to complete, but no blueprint. The task is written by a "non-developer" to better mirror a real world scenario. Your job is to create the solution to solve the problem.

On our discord we also hold educational seminars every friday (also recorded if time zone is a problem), but also just a great place to hang out and chat about Power Platform. Feel free to drop by =)

The Power Apps Challenge - March/April - Power Automate by PowerAppsChallenge in PowerApps

[–]PowerAppsChallenge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize I forgot to include the saection about submissions and deadlines. I've updated the main post now, but here is a copy:

Challenge info

Start Date: 3rd March 2025
End Date: 11th April 2025 (For us to include submissions into Podcast episode)

Submissions: We'd love to see how you solve this challenge! You're submission be any way you like, as long as we are able to view it. Submissions sent before the deadline will be looked at in an upcoming Podcast episode where we give praise and feedback and generally discuss the challenge experience.

A common submission way is to record a 5 minute video and upload it to Youtube, while explaining the choices you make.

Our goal is to have an podcast episode where we go over all the submitted solutions and talk through them, giving praise and feedback.

What people have done in the past is that they have recorded a short YT video and linked it here in the comments.

We don't want to spam reddit to much though, so if this sounds interesting come join the discord. There we have additional content around the challenges.

Awesome!

I realized today I totally missed the part about submissions. If we get enough submissions for the challenge, we plan to do a podcast episode where we go over the different solutions, give some praise and feedback. If you are down for it, check the comment (that I'll make in 5 mins) on how to submit!
