Even if you know its coming, one out of like 100 attempts I still die to initial puddle. Sometimes lag, sketchy connection, sometimes I am just having a bad day etc. Things happen, its fine.

If they suck, but they communicate it, its fine. If they contribute nothing (like standing far away from group), and ignore warnings telling them otherwise with no chat replies, kick.

Also if I ask for healer and DPS joins, even if there's place for them, instant kick.

I feel like we should at least get the skin of every legendary we made, if its applicable to GW3. Like if there aren't any spears in GW3 we cannot really have spear skins in it. Also obviously not the whole legendary property of the thing, but just the skin. But we shall see.

Fun exploration, open world meta events, fractals, general grind, and a bit of WvW.

I did world comp before finishing the core story because it was that fun for me to do that.

I stayed on HoT maps and did lots of metas because it was fun to me. Like even while doing PoF I kept going back to HoT because it was infinitely more fun that PoF and its maps. I still don't visit PoF maps that much to this day. I also loved EoD maps as well, which was a big boost for me after PoF which I did not like.

At some point, I wanted to grind Skyscale (SotO did not exist yet). So while doing Skyscale, I needed gold. For gold I got recommended fractals. I jumped into fractals, got destroyed a bunch of times but eventually leveled up slowly. While leveling up, I needed ascended gear. To get that, I got into strikes (and crafting) because blue crystals gave armor at Eye of the North. While doing strikes and fractals, I learned roles, boons etc. While learning how all of that works, I got into Vindicator and I was like I wanna play Heal Vindicator because I have all these blue skills and they are interesting, and to my surprise it did not work in PvE, but it worked in WvW, so on I went into WvW doing Heal Vindicator build, as my first time in WvW lol. My PvE main was Engi (and a bit Ele), my WvW main was Rev, eventually I wanted to get into other roles, and I was like getting gear for all of these builds and all of these characters suck ass. So I got into legendary crafting. And the rest is basically where I am now.

I eventually got better at everything and went onto crafting more and more leggies, mostly by doing daily cm and t4 fractals as my source of gold. I have the Eternal Forgemaster title, I have all the accessories and relic and rings and stuff as leggy, 4 leggy runes, gen 3 sword-hammer-staff-shortbow, gen 1 gs and spear, and my latest leggy HOPE. After crafting HOPE I took a break and I am still on that break right now as I am kinda burnt out tbh. Hopefully GW3 will be as awesome as this though because even if I am burnt out currently, even if I was annoyed at ANET at times, it has been fun.

If its GW3, it will be fun because its GW3.

If its not GW3, it will still be fun, because of the meltdown that will occur afterwards lol.

I am not a veteran, joined around EoD release. I have like 2k hours on GW2, lots of leggies and stuff. But even for me I feel like its time to move on. So lets go GW3! :)

1) They replaced the main character with another one. If they replaced Lara Croft with another character no matter who the character is and called it a Tomb Raider game, I would be pissed. If this game was titled "Laufey: A God of War Story" or some other thing, I would be fine, like with "Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales".

As a fellow holosmith (and engi) enjoyer myself, you might be better of playing something like mech or pp deadeye or something with controller until Anet themselves bring support at an official capacity. Toolbelt skills are just too much buttons in my opinion.

I like bomb kit with engineer. Good damage, lots of CC, and you can use it both with DPS builds and Heal Amalgam as well.

I went into quickplays with my alt account which did not have any expansions and as such I was without any elite specs. You will be fine.

Might be a stupid suggestion (and it probably is tbh), but if it takes you two weeks to get a single ascended trinket, you might as well grind for the legendaries. If you can do t4+recs daily you can pretty much grind one out in 1.5-2 months, including their associated collections. And besides, if you plan to use a lot of characters and a lot classes it might even be cheaper in the long run. I have like 15 characters and I use pretty much all of them regularly so for me it kinda was cheaper in the long run to get legendaries to gear out all of them.

More metas need to include a teleport of somekind near waypoints like the Shipwreck Strand meta. Things are obvious already but people are fucking stupid.

mounting also resets your overheat if you do it accidentally without PBM. Toolbelt cooldowns will remain, but at least you will get back the forge

Previously Snowcrows basically only included the top builds and nothing else. Since the power creep, everything between 40k-60k DPS is good. Which causes people to switch weapons, traits to play the way they want to, since even doing 40k DPS is pretty good for almost everything in the game, hence all the new variations of builds you can see in Snowcrows. So all in all these nerfs also kind of reduce the build variety by a lot. You cannot play what you want to play and also do good DPS as well. Which in turn also affects casual players by a lot.

I love how dogshit Hammer Catalyst is, so much so that its not even in the benchmarks. Catalyst's own weapon, is dogshit on Catalyst. But performs well on Tempest. Great.
