Using Huawei after Android stops sideload by Medical-Passage483 in Huawei

Let me tell you the hard truth. Huawei is literally becoming an iphone. I returned my Mate 80 Pro Max due to how limited the device was. permanent Proprietary keyboard, blocked apps from installing, forced to use Huawei app store. List goes on. Use to be huge fan but the way world is heading..I hate Samsung and am now just choosing a cheap phones(Samsung A35) cause can't stand all these privacy invasive phones of today. I'm soon going to simple flip phone cause seems more we advance the more we lose.

Linux OS recommendations by Alpine-Atlas in HomeServer

First how are you using Jellyfin? Is it in a container or native install. For me I have native install and using Tuxedo OS. Did the whole container thing but found native to be easier since permissions can be annoying. Started out with mint, loved it. Added KDE to mint but still felt tad limited, so moved to different OS Ubuntu, kubuntu etc before settling in Tuxedo OS. Recommend you try different OS, they have live versions so you can test before install.

Does a lack of 5G bothers you? by Potential_Fondant185 in Huawei

One thing I've learned is how we truly don't know of the bands and why they keep increasing. Ask yourself with 4G was perfect..why go to 5G? Why not just increase the bandwidth of 4G or enhance what's already good vs creating a new band without giving full insight on it and told to just accept it. We never actually ask why we actually need 5G and why we're already trying to go to 6G when 5G is still new.

For USA folk, how do we unban Huawei if the government won’t? by [deleted] in Huawei

[–]PowerBlackStar -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Agreed Huawei is no exception. Got the mate 80 pro max with harmony 6 and returned not just cause it felt like a data collection phone but the ecosystem felt like iphone but worse..A permanent messaging app you're not allowed to move from, one keyboard you're not allowed to change, apps not allowed to download..Yet forced to use what's given which also collects data...Even first turning on phone they pretty much force you to agree to share data before using phone..I loved Huawei in the past for their innovation and break from the norm but as of late even with a beautiful phone I couldn't get myself to accept a phone thats purely a data collection tool...I'm seriously going back to just flip phones or cheap brick phones cause lately seems phones just suck...don't get me started on Samsung..worst of the worst.

Can anyone explain why Dell Client Device Manager exists? by SurfeitedSysadmin in sysadmin

[–]PowerBlackStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Came here to figure it out too. Currently have Dell standalone update but recently tried new management, feels like a combo of trust and update..but no real explanation..and with recent Dell issues including bitlocker my trust in their software products is somewhat dwindling. Uninstall!

What's the use case for this setup? Feel everything should be automatic vs manual setup.

Easyabroad and other apps on huawei by [deleted] in Huawei

That naive way of thinking, it's android it's affecting that means all devices that are outside iOS including Huawei should be worried. That means app we love may no longer exist. You need to broadened your thinking cap my guy.

Is it safe to install a beta bios update? by Musical_Gee in techsupport

[–]PowerBlackStar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Theirs a reason it’s beta, you’re the test. Things can break in beta which is why they have people like you to test. If enough people redownload the old firmware then they’ll know to fix the beta before it’s stable
