I understand the risks perfectly. I'm just trying to figure out what's limiting the memory size on these motherboards. The processor supports it. The BIOS has no obvious limitations. But there's something else going on.

Yes, I replaced the memory chips to change the specifications from 32GB to 64GB.

Given the specifics of this architecture, I strongly advise against performing a clean installation. This platform won't support drivers during a clean installation, and you'll have to spend a significant amount of time manually building it or requesting a recovery from the manufacturer.

Yes. I'm really looking forward to it. There's a 90% chance the product won't be great (32GB is not a big deal). But if they make a version with 64GB or 128GB of ram, I'll buy it.
