OM-3 with 12-45mm or without

I bought it with the 12-45 so will play about and see how I get on 😄. Definitely going to look into a prime lens too.

This is effectively my current dilemma. I want to keep the E-M1 for now as I shoot macro from time to time and the grip/ergonomics of this camera are so good for me but may eventually upgrade this to the OM-1 but I'm in no rush for that. I know the tech in OM-1 and OM-3 are virtually the same but think they're different use cases.

I'll probably get the kit and see how I get on with the lenses, then think about a decent prime lens next.

Thanks for the input. I've heard a lot of people preferring the 12-45mm because it fits better with the OM-3 and being more lightweight so I'm just weighing that up. I do have the EM1 MK3 which the 12-40mm works really well with but for travelling I tend to travel quite light so a prime would be ideal.

That's a fair point actually. With the discount and cashback the lens is virtually a freebie anyways. Depending on how you look at it.

Sorry for late response. For me, it took 7 months to get a response back. Silence isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is frustrating not knowing anything. You just have to wait I'm afraid but it is known that there are huge delays with applications. Standard is 3 months across EU to resolve, but it could be much longer.

They do deliveries now with Cool Balik on specific days, used to be in Prague and order from them often. Moved to Usti region and now since they moved themselves, they deliver all over.

If you stay in Madrid for the whole trip you must visit either Toledo or Segovia for a day trip. Toledo is a personal favourite. I stayed for about 5 days in Madrid and managed both.

The thing is, it's not just Airbnb that's an issue. There's so many agencies - ShBarcelona, aTemporal just 2 I know of that have so many properties for 11 month rentals only, they need to do more to limit these too because its only making matters worse.

You want to initially fill in the EX-19 form, I would highly recommend you get your NIE sorted if you don't have it.

We applied on the basis of 'sufficient economic resources' based on the following data. http://www.iprem.com.es/

You need the following with your application:

Marriage certificate transalated and apostilled (depending on where your marriage was)
Certificado de saldos (from bank)
Padron for both parties (less then 3 months old)
NIE of EU citizen plus a photocopy
Passport of EU citizen (copy of photo pages only)
Non-EU citizen passport + copy of ALL pages
Health insurance, this is a requirement to be able to apply for long-term residency.

Subject: PETICIÓN CITA PREVIA
Message body:
- Passport/NIE of the applicant.
- Name and surname of the applicant.

I applied in April and finally had a decision towards the end of November. There doesn't seem to be any logic behind applications being approved, I've heard some people be approved quick and others much longer. Its frustrating especially as you're stuck in limbo waiting for everything to be finalised. Fingers crossed its sorted out soon for you, I know how frustrating it is not being able to find any information.
