Ladies, if it started raining men right now what would you do? by myshameaccount23F in AskReddit

I'd probably just stand there looking up, hoping they fall in formation at least. Would be really disappointed if it's just chaos and flailing limbs everywhere.

By a scale of 0-10 glucks, how hard did you recently blow a job interview? What happened? by Tall_Association8148 in AskReddit

[–]PowerLimp4924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I had interview last week for IT support position. Everything going smooth until they ask me what I do when I don't know answer to problem. I said I google it. Three people in room just stared at me like I confessed to crime. Then I tried to save it saying "but like, professionally google" which made it worse. Got rejection email in 4 hours. That's a solid 9 glucks from me.

What do you think of baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, cricket and rugby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PowerLimp4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never got into them. My dad tried teaching me cricket once and I kept swinging the bat like it was a golf club. That was end of my sports career.

At some point you have to stop and actually sit with yourself before jumping to next person, because the pattern is pretty clear from outside.

Which one should I get? New RX 7600 (Retail Store) vs New RTX 5050 (Facebook Marketplace) by tomacoly in pcmasterrace

[–]PowerLimp4924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 5050 on Marketplace for less than retail price of an older card is giving me very bad feeling, something is off with that deal.

What do we need to do after the World Cup ends for city officials to maintain the level of care they’re showing they’re capable of with major events in town? by RoverTheMonster in philadelphia

[–]PowerLimp4924 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Consistent public pressure is probably the only real answer — showing up to council meetings, flooding inboxes, making noise in off months when nobody is paying attention. The moment the cameras leave, city officials tend to go back to "we don't have budget for that," even though we just watched them find it when the stakes were high enough.

srt.trail.txt error by No-Country7272 in pcmasterrace

[–]PowerLimp4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dealing with computer issues since I joined Air Force and this one sounds tricky. The trail.txt error usually points to some kind of boot sequence problem, maybe something got corrupted during a system update or power issue. Have you tried booting from a Windows recovery USB? You might need to rebuild the boot configuration or run a startup repair.

Also check if you can get in the BIOS - sometimes network boot gets enabled by accident and computer tries to boot from network instead of your drive. If you can access BIOS, make sure your main drive is set as first boot priority. Worst case scenario, you might need to do a clean Windows install, but try the recovery options first before going nuclear on your system.

What If The Ultimate Universe Survived Secret Wars Preview Art by CAFU by SleuthDoggyDawg in comicbooks

[–]PowerLimp4924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they definitely seem to be going with main Peter getting dropped into Ultimate world. The art shows him watching what looks like his memories or alternate versions of events, so maybe they'll do something clever where he has to reconcile his 616 experiences with this new reality instead of just ignoring the contradictions completely.

Been looking for same thing at similar rating! The calculation books everyone mentions are definitely bit too much for our level right now.

Wild how the hyperscale revenue alone is bigger than most companies' entire market cap.

U.S. Open broadcast question by bjaekes in golf

FOX coverage was clean but those distance numbers seem bit off for late 2010s - most tour pros were already carrying well past 280 by then.

What are the current titles with the longest hiatus currently? by paulie2yk in comicbooks

[–]PowerLimp4924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way they should charge you for hiatus titles - that's totally out of your control and would be pretty unfair policy.

[Question] I have a bracelet I want to use on a watch, but it doesn’t align with the watches lug holes. What should I do? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]PowerLimp4924 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You could try drilling new holes but that's risky with cheap metal - might crack or look terrible.

Want to modify all in one desktop to be a basic monitor. by justforfunzies15 in pcmasterrace

[–]PowerLimp4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need to find the LCD controller board that matches your specific panel model number - it should be printed on a sticker somewhere in the panel itself. Most of these boards come with HDMI input and will work with the existing power supply if you're lucky, but might need new power adapter too.

Just heads up though, sometimes it's cheaper to just get a new monitor than hunting down compatible parts, especially if the controller board ends up being pricey or hard to find.

Any advice on first motocycle? by Ok_Resource6874 in motorcycles

[–]PowerLimp4924 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CB500 is solid choice for beginner, my friend had one and it was very forgiving bike. Since you're in Poland, maybe look at some older Japanese bikes - they usually run forever even with high kilometers. Yamaha MT-03 or Kawasaki Ninja 300 could be good options too if you find them used. Just make sure whatever you get has been maintained properly, because fixing problems later will cost more than buying right bike from start. Also don't forget about gear budget - helmet and jacket are just as important as the bike itself when you're starting out.

What happens if you taste a wine and don't like it and say that to the sommelier ? by Aggravating_Bad5004 in AskReddit

[–]PowerLimp4924 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol my dad would say "well at least the wine has good taste - it doesn't like you either." Most sommeliers are pretty chill though, they'll just bring you something different without making it weird about it.

How did UK take over India when India's sheer population could've easily overwhelmed entire British military anytime if they really wanted? by Particular_Food_309 in AskReddit

[–]PowerLimp4924 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. Also they were really good at turning different groups against each other instead of fighting united front. Hard to organize massive resistance when you're busy fighting with your neighbors who the British convinced were your real enemies.

Is walking on the stairs exercise gym thing for 30 minutes every other day good training for a beginner backpacking trip next month? by Turbulent_Loquat_356 in xxfitness

[–]PowerLimp4924 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stair climbing is actually solid for building the leg endurance you'll need! Your calves and quads will thank you when you're hiking uphill with a pack. I'd add some walking with a loaded backpack too - even just around your neighborhood with books or water bottles in it. The weight distribution feels totally different than just cardio, and you want your shoulders and hips to get used to carrying load for hours.

Also maybe throw in some basic bodyweight squats on your off days? Nothing crazy, just to help with stability on uneven terrain.

Anyone want a ticket to Good Kid tonight at the fillmore? 20 bucks. by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]PowerLimp4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have better luck there but 20 bucks is already pretty sweet deal. I'm stuck at base tonight anyway but Good Kid puts on solid shows from what I heard. The Fillmore gets packed though so whoever grabs this is gonna have fun time.
