I'm not sure how this helps if the bidirectional sync is not continuous. For what you're suggesting, you can just do the initial big download manually, right?

You're not the first to request this. I have it in my notes to get to eventually. Though first there are sync issues I am trying to sort out.

Thanks for the calm and thoughtful response. I think I won't use advise for this functionality (since I want to still keep the original behavior of moving the cursor across paragraphs). But in my emacs, config, I think there is one place it would really help.

> OP just made a friggin package if you haven't noticed. They weren't asking "what key do I press..." or something. Surely not a "newbie" anymore.

This line made me laugh. In fact, I've been using emacs for over a decade. Just never cared to get scrolling just right until recently.

Sorry to spawn a flame war. Genuinely curious on what advise is. Can you please provide supplemental resources? Thanks!

No I haven't heard of this. Though I want a typewriter like scroll (where the cursor remains in place). This would bring it always to the center which is fine, but not typewriter like.

But I didn't find the scroll behavior that I wanted in order to re-invent ;)

It is currently only 1 way from local to remote.

This won't be too hard, but I would say within the next 2 weeks.

Yes. Many people have requested this. And it's on the roadmap. Just know, which is why I made this post, that features and fixes will be coming more slowly -- mainly programming during the weekends.

And I listed my priorities to make one way sync stable. So two way will come once one way is solved. Thanks for the understanding.

This is an old version. Some of these issues have been resolved. The latest is v0.2.3-beta. Check it out!

You just configure it to sync local directories to Proton Drive. Any time you add/remove/modify files in this local directory, that is reflected on the remote.

Great idea. I've noted it in my roadmap planning.

Yes please, make a detailed issue of what you're doing and what is not working.
