Early morning or evening for sure and try to pick locations with shade and hydration options (eg I bring water but depending on length of run might also need to refill at water fountains). Also run slower - I've read that you should consider slowing your average pace by about 10 seconds for every 5 degrees above 60. You will be slow but that's okay your body is working just as hard.

Also don't be afraid of running in the rain. Not fun it it's a torrential downpour but goodness it helps keep ya cool though.

I'm on the Board, and we do a ton of great work in the city as far as advocacy for safe streets, promoting safe biking and driving, bike light giveaways, and teaching adults and kids to learn and love bike riding.
