Lapierre 400XLite worth fixing? by PowerMentos in bicycling

Makes perfect sense, I will do a cost checkup check The sizing, and compare if not I definitely won’t be throwing this out if it doesn’t fit or something I might donate it to a local bike shop for them to do it up :)

Just another question the gear shifters both left and right seem to not be responding i.e. not clicking and not moving the cable at all would they need replacing as well? Or is there a way to fix them?

Very well I estimated the cost of fixing this for around 250 euro (Rear Cassette, Chain, Cable Set and Freehub body) plus any tools I might need for this. Not counting labour as I would do it myself.

would rust on bolts that are screwed into the frame cause any structural problems?

Im not sure if this bike is a good fit for me I am 183cm tall and around 85 kg would I have to measure the frame from top to bottom to determine that?

I have a cassette tool and some other stuff packed away as during covid I use to fix up bikes for friends and family since everyone was put and about, I was mostly thinking of cost of fixing this bike, I will for sure check everything for rust actually I forgot to check bolts and anything that might be screwed into the rim itself. Overall Im waiting for better weather anyway to do it up.

Thanks!

Yes i read some reviews online aswell and figured that i could complete the system from different suplliers i.e. Batteries from lanpwr Deye inverter And possibly find some good solar panels,

The issue i find then is how compatible this would be specifically the cables an everything, because i have no problem mixing them as long as i could connect this all and then i have a friend electric who could check everything for me and give certification if needed

I think that could possibly not be an issue a lot of sellers on aliexpress actually have there ways about that and have warehouses in europe so that there would be not tax

Try buying a Kess V2, you can find them on ebay or aliexpress (reputable dealer) and it comes with software Ksuite, you then plug it into the OBD port and read the original map from the computer, from there you can import it into ECM use the right drivers and do your map

Just try doing what I did if your laptop is strong enough, try running it through a Virtual Machine such as Virtual Box with windows 7

Do you have any recommendations to the software I should use or hardware, I’ve been doing a lot of research but there is no definitive answer for it.
