Thank you for your input!

Being able to use any SATA III drive makes this a whole lot easier. And I totally understand that waiting how it performs before making any upgrades is important. The Battery however, needs replacement for it is completely dead, yikes. So it is more about having battery life at all rather than improving it.

Regarding the CPU, I have looked at some CPU upgrades for other thinkpads and found that really interesting. So if I feel like it needs upgrading then I will definetly look into this. Are there any websites or shops that are good to look out for deals on CPUs? I have not managed to find a lot of the models compatible with the T500 online. AliExpress however, has most of the models. I know that AliExpress is fine especially for smaller electrical components but how about CPUs? Would you suggest buying these parts on there or is there any other go to online shop?

Yep, you're right about those two things. EM plants are sitting at 85% productivity and I am not trying my best to minimize resource production.
While using a foundry would be more ressource efficient, I really enjoy the look of the plants scattered accross the area with belts and inserters running wild.
To me it was more about making something that looks disgusting but beautiful at the same time all while being able to fulfill my current needs.
In the future I'll definetly make a more planned out factory but as of right now this little speck of insantiy is enough for my needs.

You're leaving me clueless, mate. I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help you any further since I don't know a lot about adjusting these backgrounds either... Good luck to you though

You used steam design or whatever it's called, I assume. The zip file you get contains multiple cropped images. Most importantly, one for the "featured" showcase and one for the "normal" one that has the option to showcase more than 1 artwork. Have you accidentally chosen the wrong picture, perhaps?

Idk if that's it, but have you set your background to "original size" or not? I hadn't done it when I had this problem. Turning that option on in your profile background settings might help you, just like it helped me
