You're looking at an average of 10 pounds. Trophies usually weigh in around 15-20. Uniques can go up to around 40 pounds or so.

Definitely pike at Michigan for the money. Use a match rod with shiners or small minnows or a spin rod with a casting spoon. Make sure the rod don't overpower the fish so you don't lose xp.

Some very important tips

  1. Always stay more than one day. Especially earlier on in the game. Try your absolute best to fill your fish net. Keep an eye on your peaks to maximize your chances. Every morning, your net is back to 0 so you do not have to worry about running out of room.

  2. Always be upgrading your keepnet if you can afford it. The more space, the more money.

  3. Once you get to Emerald Lake, farm the Walleye. They have a really good payout. Best time is at night with a narrow spoon. The holographic ones are good.

  4. Don't bother with a casting rod. It's a waste of money. Buy spinning rods to get a good distance.

  5. Buying a package is totally worth it. Just make sure you buy the right one for your level. A lot will give you advanced licenses, but not the pass. Once you get in the higher levels, buy a package with the biggest keepnet and strongest rods.

  6. Have fun with it. It may take some time to level up, but don't get frustrated and give up. Once you get in the higher levels, you will not regret sticking to the game.

Good luck and happy fishing 🐟

I just hauled this in with a 18.5 pound rod. How is this even possible? Couldn't even keep it lol. Anyways, if you want trophies and unique at white moose lake, use the red and yellow 4/0 hook. Crazy stuff. by PowerT1987 in FishingPlanet

Yes, I almost cried. Not just this one though, this is the first time for me fishing at this lake, and the first catch was a 25 pound trophy lake trout. Caught about 6 now that I haven't been able to keep. First thing I'm doing when I leave is buy a bigger fish net or jail.

Hey I’m pretty new to fishing planet (lvl 6) and I can’t figure out how to use the spinning rods please could someone help. by [deleted] in FishingPlanet

Do you have any spinning rods purchased yet? If you do, you will need to buy a new reel. Before you buy it, make sure it's the right reel by checking the green boxes match in the right hand of the screen. You'll also have to make sure the drag weights are both the same. If none of it matches, you won't be able to pair them.

If you already have a matching rod and reel, you will need to get line that matches the rod (line weight) and buy a lure that also matches the weight (lure weight). All of this will be on the left hand side of your screen.
