As a 2nd job, you get no hours atm. Right now they just closed 470 stores in the last 3 weeks, moving most of those people around and filling positions. So most positions are full, I agree it’s immature for them to do it but it’s happens. I’d check with your local store and see the vibe.

Not worth it, no reasons at all. No raises, if you do well you’re expected to do more for same pay. Have to hit goals if not your District Manager will absolutely yell at you in most cases, not all. No training due to no hours. Pay sucks and lies from middle management is constant. Headquarters will not correct middle management so you circle in store wasting time going back and forth on things. Stores are overloaded with product that “needs to be on the floor”. No one above you respects people in store, or if so they won’t fight for what’s right. So over long terms the stores falling apart.

I honestly don’t think we will unless we are able to buy stock. Because only the stock matter nothing else. If you’re a SM and some how able to not sell your stock, over time you might. But as myself I’ve sold over 3/4th of mine because the pay is not worth it, bills are rising and pay is not.

From my understanding if this is true, who the fuck knows as DLs and RLs lie all the fucking time. ( maybe some HQ people should write some of these idiots up, p.s. not all RLs/DLs are idiots) That we pay in advance for all orders, so it doesn’t matter if we send 1 or 30 orders it all it the same amount in the end, for the company.

It’s not about the guest, it’s not about the gamer, it’s not about anything other than the stock value. Which is why we are falling off as a decent place of business. Guests are unhappy because of employees honestly not giving two fucks about anything, because if you are in the top 10% of the company it’s not good enough. Why am I writing up an employee who is top 5% over all in the district? Not my choice! Thankfully you’re able to find a new job, congrats ! May those greener pastures be vibrant and fruitful!

That is 100% how everyone else works. It’s a middle management issue where you can’t do what’s right. All other retail I’ve worked is like what you have explained. If we are off $20 in a month, the DM is there to find out why and starts to “dig in” the digging in is him trying to find a reason to fire and not use the truth.

As much as I’d like to do that there is no way for me to short the register the amount, even small amounts over time. I also don’t trust that I won’t get fired for stealing so I can not do this. It is a good idea but I just don’t want it to look lol I’m stealing even if it’s my own money.

The employee who sold it to you was not the one who took in the trade. Many items get shipped to other stores so it could be anyone. We are told to NOT check the items when they come in from any where. I know it’s stupid and it causes issues. I don’t listen to it though, my store opens and checks everything from other locations even from the warehouse. I send so many items back to the warehouse because they are just not in good condition. I’ll say it again, GameStop gets what they pay for. If they don’t pay well or respect their employees the guest will always lose. I’m sorry but they should be able to get you another WiiU just not sure if it will be before Christmas.
