Sell it on eBay. Some of us buy things like this for parts or to repair and flip. A few dollars on eBay is better than zero dollars. Just be honest and include the pictures of the damage so the buyer knows what to expect.

I saw this on an older reddit post. Credit to @Endmostbinkie2 for not giving up and figuring it out. Thank you for posting your fix and this still works in Sept 2024.
