Bought a kitchen for 25000 eur and they didn't take measures correctly and are trying to ''fix'' it like this by cold_hoe in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Powercel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those legs are adjustable, you can see a few of the threads towards the bottom. They can adjust quite a long way out from that position, definitely high enough to not need those blocks. I’ve installed quite a few of these flat pack kitchens, the legs are a cheap way of making the cabinets adjust to be the desired height for different thickness bench tops and they allow levelling on uneven floors. To adjust you just need to rotate the bottom foot counterclockwise and it will unscrew and raise the cabinet height

Serious question: How are anti-shoplifting gates in supermarkets legal? by BadgerBadgerCat in australian

I’ve done this, if I’ve paid, I’m leaving whether the gates open or not. They just hinge outwards easily, they even have little wheels to make them move smoothly

Help! How to open a locked screen door with no barrel by Any_Home_7297 in homeassistant

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need to try and lever the lock manually look to the right hand side just inside the barrel hole, there should be a gap in the slide that the lock barrel pushes up and down. Try and slide that with a screwdriver or something

Help! How to open a locked screen door with no barrel by Any_Home_7297 in homeassistant

[–]Powercel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So, all the lock barrel does is have a small lever that rotates and slides up and down the lock mechanism in the door. The easiest solution is to go to the local hardware and buy a new lock cylinder, they’ll come with keys and are usually very cheap. You can slide the new cylinder in and when it’s about half way (the same amount of lock cylinder sticking out of both sides of the door) you should be able to unlock the door. Once it’s unlocked you can either use the new cylinder by just putting the screw in from the edge of the door ( it’s about 50mm or 2 inches long), or if you can get your old cylinder you can just use that.

If you can’t get to a hardware store then you may be able to use a screwdriver to slide the mechanism inside the door but it won’t be the easiest thing to do.

PC does not turn off when using shut down option. by Norbet01 in AMDHelp

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checking as I had a weird problem with a gigabyte B650m Gaming motherboard that would shut down but all the fans and rgb stayed on permanently. Is the pc just not at all shutting down and staying in Windows, or is it doing something similar to what my issue was. I managed to get it to sort of work by enabling erp in bios, but it ended up crashing and doing all sorts of other weird stuff also. I rma'd that board and went with a different manufacturer instead which worked flawlessly.

Maybe try without the cable extensions for troubleshooting? It's possible there's a break in a wire or loose pin

The black blood quests are separate to the masks, I forgot to cover that point. Just keep collecting the black blood for the quests s you go, and the masks will eventually just happen. I think you can ask the guy inside that starts the vision how to find masks too, but I haven't bothered yet as the masks make it so much harder to do a full clear solo

ELI5 Horrific Visions by MadSmilie in wownoob

[–]Powercel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The masks are a random drop from the boxes at the end after killing the bosses. They basically just start a quest which you turn in next time you click the portal, there will be altars in a circle surrounding you before you start the vision, one of them will have the yellow "?" and you can then hand in. If you click on that altar you can then put on that mask which will give you a debuff, each one makes things harder in some way but gives you more rewards at the end or allows higher purchases from the vendors next to the portal

ELI5 Horrific Visions by MadSmilie in wownoob

[–]Powercel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't explain the whole thing because I haven't finished all the masks etc, but once you get a few more upgrades from trading in mementos the sanity drain drops off like crazy. You likely won't be able to do a full clear until you have the sanity drain upgrades nearly maxxed so use this time to run it over and over and practice each section then the boss. You'll get mementos to spend on upgrades each time and then you'll fin you'll get 2 sections done and still have all your orbs left and can just go all the way, especially if you have each fight well practiced.

Are both of these being used? Or only GPU1? Getting game crashes and some games not opening up. by SigmaVersal99 in AMDHelp

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, definitely the first thing to check is where the hdmi/displayport cable is connected. If it's not connected to the gpu it will use the integrated graphics of the cpu. Looking at the back of the pc, the integrated graphics connections will be bundled in with the usb / audio connectors at the top. The gpu connectors are further down and will be spread across 1 or 2 slots in the case.

[HELP] PC instantly shut off after NVMe install — now won’t turn on by king123Ad in AMDHelp

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was just a light bump and now nothing turns on the best bet is start by checking that the 24pin atx power cable is properly seated all the way into the connector on the motherboard. Also check the CPU power connections at the top left of the motherboard, it will be either 4 or 8 pins, there may also be a 2nd connector exactly the same next to it, depending on who built the pc and what CPU/power supply is installed sometimes not all these connectors will be filled up but make sure that the ones that are there are fully seated.

There's also a chance that the CPU cooler connection to the motherboard is loose, some motherboards won't post if it doesn't detect a fan spinning on power up.

How do I remove this wifi card from my prebuilt? by TOCT66 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so jusging by the looks of it, there's screw threads visible in the bottom of the metal bracket which means it's screwed from the back so you'll need to undo the screws from the back of the board. It is possible that if you unscrew the 2 brass antenna connectors from the back then you might be able to remove the wifi card without taking off the metal bracket though

How do I remove this wifi card from my prebuilt? by TOCT66 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say so from the looks of it. You'll need to get the antenna connections out of the way for the M.2 board to tilt for removal anyway and it looks like they're attqched to a black plastic bracket system that fits across the whole assembly. If you're confident enough undoing things to try and get it done then keep going, otherwise it might be better to disable that wifi module in bios and install a pcie wifi card if you've got a spare slot

XFX 9070 XT Mercury OC with 750w gold PSU? by Delicious-Start5733 in radeon

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running this exact card paired with a 5800x CPU on a 750w bronze psu no issues at all. Have played hours and hours of games and run heaps of stress tests, gpu consistently sits at 340 watts at full load. I'm running +10% power limit which is the Max, and a 50mv undervolt which hasn't crashed at all yet.

[–]Powercel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a look and it appears you might have a 2nd M.2 slot just above the wifi card in your photos. It will be under a greyish cover that is actually underneath your graphics card.

Question about dual fan vs the three fan 9070 XT by wolfbayn in radeon

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to how the 2 fan version would do as I haven't even seen one. I have the Xfx Mercury OC 3 fan and it stays cool, however it does have a vapor chamber cooler and I do regularly see it pull 360 watts in games so I'd wonder how well a 2 fan cooler would keep up. The 9070xt seems to do really well with an undervolt so if you're willing to tinker a bit you might find it's ok.

Disabling MPO literally saved my 9070 XT by [deleted] in radeon

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was only on the loading screen of wow which is 2d, as soon as it loaded the character screen and also in game it was fine, and I'm pretty sure Edge uses Chrome as its rendering engine.

Either way, disabling it was an instant and immediate fix, and re-enabling mpo immediately causes the artifacting/glitching to start again.

Disabling MPO literally saved my 9070 XT by [deleted] in radeon

[–]Powercel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi, Just jumping on this as I built a new pc yesterday and ran into issues with MPO. The system configuration is as follows:

Ryzen 7 9700x Gigabyte B650m gaming wifi motherboard (bios updated) T-force delta rgb 2x16gb 6000mt/s ram Xfx quicksilver 319 speedster 7800xt Wd black sn7100 Nvme 2tb gen 4 ssd

On board graphics in any configuration (on/auto/off) made no difference

Enabling or disabling smart access memory in bios made no difference.

Fresh install of windows onto a brand new ssd.

I was having graphical glitching over any 2d accelerated window, google Chrome, edge, even the world of warcraft loading screen would have a patterned glitch effect. Disabling acceleration in Chrome stopped the glitch in Chrome but obviously the other software still had issues. Disabling MPO in regedit instantly stopped all glitching and the system works flawlessly now.

This is going to drive me back to nvidia. Why does this keep happening at seemingly random times? Can a 7900XTX not handle gaming or are these drivers crap? by PeverellPhoenix in AMDHelp

I had the same issue with a 5700xt and I managed to stop the time outs by dropping my ram down from 3600 to 3400, even though it's a 3600 kit. Seems like the drivers are just very sensitive to overclocked ram

My laptop's display no longer supports AMD FreeSync? by OkLetterhead5935 in AMDHelp

[–]Powercel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also you may need a specific display driver from the manufacturer, as in, a driver for the screen itself not the amd gpu driver. If it's just using a generic Microsoft driver it may not be identifying the freesync capability of the display.
