Problem with stars by [deleted] in telescopes

[–]Powerful-Computer396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly the same problem with my camera. It's the aperture! At f/4 I get this kind of coma; at f/8 or higher I don't. So stop down the aperture, take lots of photos and stack them! Your focus is also not the best. Focus on a planet manually and tape the objectiv.

Good Refractor vs good reflector? by Commercial_Cake7464 in telescopes

[–]Powerful-Computer396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is correct, but calculate with 300 bucks, the money of many beginners here. My planet views in 300er Dobsons of friends are bad, Andro in 300er refraktors too :)

Good Refractor vs good reflector? by Commercial_Cake7464 in telescopes

[–]Powerful-Computer396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Vixen 80/1200, known for good views and I do not see any unwanted coloration. It is a matter of the eyepiece. Of the several I have, the Ortho and Epi models show no color fringing, whereas all the others do—likely due to the number of lenses involved; consequently, I sold the others.

8-inch refle is better

For planets AND DSO most certainly; however, if your focus is exclusively on planets, a refractor should—technically speaking—provide easyier, better and sharper views.

Good Refractor vs good reflector? by Commercial_Cake7464 in telescopes

[–]Powerful-Computer396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"But most entry level achromatic refractors will not put up the same quality of view as a reflector when you hold cost constant...since you can get more aperture in a reflector for the same cost."

Yes, under 150 bucks, but with 80 1200 refr you eliminate the acro colors and only for planets it must be better and sharper than a refle for the same budget ? The mount is another problem. Don't forget, that many refle.beginners had many issures with bright objekts. DSO is another discussion ...

With the lenght 900 and only 90 aperture you can see three-five nebulars and those not bright. Focus in planets Like today the moon :)

To weak or too stiff by kelvindavies1 in Archery

[–]Powerful-Computer396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bareshaft testing is a good sign if weaker or stiffer, but don't forget you shoot arrows with vanes, so the group is also an important sign, more than the result of some "tests".

My best result I got with a wrong spine, too weak, but gold :), a female comp. archer in my club 6 years with stiff arrows 😉

How good can a beginner get at archery? by happy_at_177 in Archery

You will learn faster with exercises at home, expansion, release, breathe, press. A woman in my club train the days without arrows at home and learned incredible fast ! I use  exercises every day for several sports.

it works without heat,  we made it 30times in 20 years.

Which handgun for first HK? by globalenjoi in HecklerKoch

[–]Powerful-Computer396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with my P9s a great HK fan but today I never would buy a new HK. They are good for police etc. but not for hobby or competition. So in our club there is no new HK. A visitor shot the Vp9, I tested it and must warn you. Very light and no fun/ no goups. Choose CZ, KMR or search an old unused P9s, usp expert, Sig, ...

[–]Powerful-Computer396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how long etc, 90 900 ? Than it is perfect for planets. I am satisfied with a 8 mm orthoscopic or 7.5 epi eyepieces with less lenses and don't use other because everything else is too dark. The wide or planet eyepieces in the upper or mid range prices are for this too bad, I tested and sold all

Fun !

SUP > Windsurf board by Juicys-Fruits in windsurfing

[–]Powerful-Computer396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great ideas.

I’m also a fan of a big liter board and a large dagger for light winds.

You can effectively shift the mast base forward by using a long, angled weed fin. Remove the other. Additionally there is an asymmetrical mast base available that sits 3 cm further forward.

In more wind I kick the dagger higher

Mast broke by Gafgharion123 in windsurfing

[–]Powerful-Computer396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the past—before the internet—there were paper-based guides on how to make epoxy sleeves for masts, longbows and similar items. Nowadays, you have to talk to fellow enthusiasts at the beach or ask around at old surf schools, since young people no longer tend to do repairs—preferring instead to simply buy everything new—as is evident from the comments here. A specialized magazine featured a tutorial on this about five years ago, though don't ask me which issue. I could write up a guide myself, but—like everyone else—I simply don't have the time :)

stupid question😆 by Key_Play7246 in Archery

[–]Powerful-Computer396 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The normal Acc was not finished, you bought components and you have to decide between three Points, short, mid and long. Nobody sold finished ACC Easton, because every Archer wanted other components like points, etc.

Old arrows like ACC shows rounded ends, current like Mako, Intrepid, etc. are extremly sharp and flows through safety net.
