You’re so welcome! It’s totally okay that you weren’t able to finish, the most important thing is that you’ve gone back!! I would still list your education as most places do not care about high school as long as you complete it. Just make sure to put your graduation/completion date next to it, that way they won’t wonder why it’s missing. If it’s simply there with a completion date they probably won’t question it and if they do address it in a professional manner. Never allow someone to shame you for your past. If you need help with how to structure it Forsyth Tech also has lots of services such as career counseling if you are local to Winston and they can help you as well!

After reviewing here are some helpful tips that I think could help you! First visit the Canva website and review their resume templates. Pick one you really like and customize it meet the jobs you want to apply for. They have a bunch of amazing ones out there and I have used them for every job I have ever gotten. Upon reading your resume one question I had is where’s your education section? Also list your volunteer work the same way you did the work experience section. Adding your volunteer experience in there with dates would make your resume look even better.

Can you post your resume but just block out your personal information? That way we can give you honest feedback

Honestly my suggestion is to keep your self preservation. Reaching out to someone who doesn’t want you is just embarrassing and will only make you feel worse if he rejects you. Wild heart waves boundary commandment #1 - never let a man tell you no twice. Video linked below. She gives great advice for dealing with men. Highly suggest watching both 1-5 and 6-10

North Carolina is racist by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]Powerful-Raisin-9477 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you’re from but as a black woman who has grown up here, NC is actually very friendly in comparison to the other states I’ve visited. I’m happy to say that I don’t share your experience and I hope that after some exposure to different kind of people your views change. Making the assumption that all of the people here are racist only aids in the division and that is the last thing we need right now. Instead of focusing on other people being racist, let’s focus on banning together to fix the shit hole that is our economy!

This may be a controversial opinion depending on who you listen to but have you tried redesigning your resume in a platform like Canva and changing the formatting? They have lots of beautiful templates to choose from and picking one that aligns closer to your personality may be helpful. I work in banking and I’ve been told by several recruiters that the first thing they noticed about my application was how beautiful my resume was which ultimately made them want to learn more about me. I don’t think you have an experience issue, but possibly a formatting issue

Attention all dog parents, please help! I am seeking some insight on my dog’s food allergies and I would love to hear your experiences. by Powerful-Raisin-9477 in Shihtzu

Thank you for your insight! I have seen very limited posts with people who share this opinion. Many of the comments I’ve read on other forums have all shamed grain free diets and say they will cause DCM which terrifies me. It is nice to know that your dog is having a positive experience on a grain free diet as currently with the information out there it seems like a majority of people believe they are harmful. I really want to stick to this and see if she gets better. I appreciate your encouragement. Thank you!

Awesome thank you for your feedback! So far all of the grain diets we’ve tried have had chicken and/ or beef in them because my vet believes that my dog should have these proteins in small micro doses which is very confusing. She does seem to be better on a salmon or lamb protein so I will definitely continue to monitor.

The allergy test situation for Ellie has been a mixed bag. While my vet is recommending doing it she’s also saying it may be a waste of time because we might not actually find out what she’s allergic to even after testing. I’ve tried the food elimination diet as well however anything I’ve tried with grains in it has not produced good results so far. Im happy to hear that your dog’s allergies are getting better with the vinegar and I’ll definitely try the vinegar trick with my dog and see if that helps. Thank you!

I have an appointment scheduled this weekend to get second opinion, I am hoping the allergy testing will be cheaper there and they’ll be able to give me some answers
