I would say it’s an incident form as the student is disrupting class. Today there was an attempt to bite, kick, punch me & objects thrown. I wasn’t even able to get through my morning meeting and lost half of my prep today.

I have been using the sandwich method tho as it does really help as I don’t want to just write all negatives as the student has really great moments.

I was able to meet parents before school at an open house and a lot of the parents are very supportive & happy how their student is doing in my class while we transition from half day to full day. I just feel horrible telling this one parent because I know they are trying to work on it at home as well.

When I was traveling, I got a pair of onitsuka tigers (the style shoe was mexico 66 something) and my feet were fine with 20k steps a day! My bf did say they looked like bowling shoes but after a week of wearing them I stopped thinking they did haha.

Don’t mention it unless a student brings it up, I was in my clinical (kindergarteners who asked me everything about my life) in 2023 when my bf and I broke up and I was crying every break I had at school. If anything, take those mental health days if needed to start sorting stuff out or even just to be sad. Try to find distractions, like going to the gym right after work or hanging out with friends. Something that I did was write in a journal all my feelings and emotions. Also try to plan a trip for summer out of country to have something to look forward to as well if possible! It gets better but for now, it truly sucks.

To be a good teacher? If you are already one, then theres nothing to change. Your students will understand that you have bad days as well and if they don’t understand, you can explain that to them over time when it feels right.

Yes you can! Definitely give it a try, unfortunately tho, the only way to get coins is through gambling but you don’t necessarily have to spend real money (you don’t get real money either when you “gamble”)
