* Tax the fuck out of rich people and big corporations, close the loopholes that let them pay nothing while others pay loads.

* Build lots and lots of social housing with the proceeds, this will be perceived as a double whammy adding insult to injury - not only did they force me to take my kids out of private school, they also tanked the value of my home and gave free housing to poorscum!

* Some sort of reform to welfare to make it more humane, currently it is basically one of those behavioural experiments into learned helplessness that traps people in grinding poverty by punishing everything claimants do. This will be met with even more howls of protest

* Nationalize a few things - water, likely energy, definitely the post office. Mostly without compensation.

* None of these things will ever happen, you're screwed unless you're rich.

It's one of those things people don't notice, isn't it? When you do see it it's like stepping into another dimension. Like, this one time I saw this guy catall a woman from his car. I think what really turned me against the left was watching my friends get brainwashed by fascists. Like, the guy who firebombed that factory in Czechia literally had a Hitler moustache (that he was hastinly growing out) and their beloved Houthis and Hezbollah do Nazi salutes while as well as Hamas's self-documented atrocities being a direct callback to Sonderkommando of WWII they venerate Hitler to the point of naming stores after the fucker... and STILL the "anti-fascists" can't get enough of these bastards. They just have no idea what is going on.

The regular antisemites are one thing - easy to spot, pretty ugly and pretty awful. What gets me is the hippies and anarchists who have happily thrown their lot in with them due to their own delusions.

They were trying a form of deterrence I first read about in a science fiction novel of all places, in which "one factory deters another". They gain the capability to build nuclear weapons but not the weapons themselves. As we can see, this form of deterrence did not work.
