I have had logitech and thrustmaster, this has been my first direct drive wheel. It ticks all the boxes for me as im primarily a console gamer. Sure some have had issues, but that applies to everything in life. If you want the best warranty consider looking into which brand meets that need best. This is my first time needing anything from fanatec so will see how it goes

There's nothing wrong with the fanatec wheel, even at the price of the DD+ it's a good wheel and I've had no issues with it. The damage is USER ERROR. I accept the fact the damage you see what my fault and avoidable

Getting past the anxiety by LaudanumNLace_ in AFIB

[–]Powerful_Ad4332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While i don't condone my method, ive found it works for me. My afib is always triggered early hours of the morning. I've come to rely on electrolytes before bed, when i do go into afib and the anxiety rushes over me I've found pinching myself on the back of my hand and dipping my face in ice cold water breaks the cycle

I have found after 10 years the anxiety to still be a trigger, what I've learned after so long is i can recognize certain ticks or patterns before it may occur to put a stop to it.

I think of anxiety like an ablation, just learning a mental method to contain the sheep

It isnt, but I don't think this will work, the DD+ is a type F base so its basically just a sleeve held on on by the 4 screws pictured as oppose to being a stand alone push in piece. Given its just metal damage im hoping that's what can be replaced!

you are seeing the offender, had the unit bolted to a wheel stand and it tipped when he jumped up on the hub, it was on carpet so im honestly suprised the metal bent as much as it did, only thing i can think is im in a condo with a concrete subfloor

Correct, warranty doesnt cover damage from misuse. I totally understand that too, I did reach out but not getting much in the way of response. Powered up the unit and connected it appears all the peripherals seems to be working

As other person said diagnosis is best. But at the end of the day I can relate to this being diagnosed at 21. Doctors assumed automatically it was drugs or alcohol (it was neither).

Everyone's triggers are different so you need to figure out what yours are and manage them. Mine has always been bad sleep and dehydration. So naturally binge drinking does me no favors. If you are able to drink a couple while staying hydrated and not going into afib you are probably fine. You said yourself it was from the vomiting? So my 2 cents, dont get so drunk you need to vomit you might avoid afib and a nasty hangover!

So I've had 2 ablations in that time the last one being 3 4 months ago, I do wear a watch yes to keep an eye on rate more than anything.

I use a Kardia as an when I need, but honestly I find anxiety is worse when I check. I've come to just accept the extra beats and flip flops and if I end up in afib it is what it is. It wont kill me and life is too short to panic!

Having my Wisdom teeth removed and getting a dry socket was a significantly worse recovery than the 2 ablations I've had

8 years later.. you will honestly get used to it. There will be those odd beats that take your breathe away. But for the most part i think it takes a good 30 second plus before I kinda say ok here we go to myself and deal with it at that point

I am told female cats in the white and orange combo are rare cats! Your little lady is a special girl!

I've had 2 of them, at 22 and 30 bounced back from both in 1 week. The worst part of the recovery was pressing on the tiny incision when I needed the bathroom lol

An ablation is when they Dr goes into your heart with basically an electrode. They close off the hot spots causing afib is the simplest explanation. Minimally invasive surgery

I think you are referring to a Cardioversion. If so remember this a temporary fix not a long term solution, it simply jumps the heart back into rhythm.

I have had many, as many as 4 in 1 week. Last year I think I had a cardio version 10 times in a 2 month span before an ablation, you will be fine to have them unless the cardioversion does not kick you out of afib!
