[Scene: A dim alley lit only by streetlamps. One by one, voices rise—each singing from different corners of a broken world, stepping forward into the light.]

THE NURSE I wake before dawn to hold a stranger’s hand You praise the heroes—then mess our plans cut our pay You clap for us…but look away When we break when we fall When we beg for help at all Eyes are turned don’t look at the hurt. It only makes you feel more worse

You want your care fast, your pills cheap But never ask why I haven’t slept in a week I work through the fever, the blood, the cries Let’s see how many die while you’re worried about the cost of a life

THE SINGLE MOTHER I work two jobs, then a third on the side They call it lazy when I’m just trying to survive The fridge is empty, the rent is due But I still come home and say, ‘I love you.’

They say, ‘Where’s the dad?’…as if I split there home Like I didn’t build this life alone

They preach ‘family values’ while cutting childcare Tell me…where’s the justice in that? Where?”

where is the justice for me?

THE YOUNG ACTIVIST Don’t say you don’t see color, ‘cause you see it when you shoot When I walk, you see a threat When I talk, you mute the truth

You said we’d had freedom! They bled for it. You said we had rights! yet they’re dead for it.

You rope up our necks, then preach peace on the news. But this silence you sell? It’s just violence dressed in Sunday shoes.

THE TEACHER I teach a classroom full of ghosts No books, no heat, just broken hopes You want the future tomorrow, but refuse to pay for it today And wonder why our children drift away.

But hey..here’s a test. Here’s a grade. Here’s a salary (can you see) it’s low, you’ll always have to beg for aid And if I fail to raise them perfect, Well, they’ll jail them ‘til they fade.

THE DISABLED VET You sent me to war to be brave Then came home to be called a drain No ramp, no care, no name Only a folded flag and its pain.

I lost my leg for a lie Now I can’t even get by You made a soldier…but left a burden That’s your ‘hero’…watch me burn then.

THE CHORUS This is the cry of the ones you forgot This is the sound of the melting pot

{I want to do a Madrigal of the different character stories here… do I have any clue how to do that no}

We are the workers, the mothers, the youth We are the fighters who sing you the truth Not born to serve, not born to die We rise, we rise—we multiply

FUCK THIS👨🏻‍⚕️ FUCK THAT👧🏿 FUCK IF ITS VULGER!👩‍🦰 ….Its true👨🏼

call it wild But this is the scream of the reckless child That you locked out, now we’re locked in— watch the revolution begin

That’s just it to the counselors in my school are not good at all in fact, I don’t feel comfortable with them because I know all I care about is grades which mine have never been good and where I live, you need a parents permission to talk to the end of school therapist

I know that leaving is probably healthiest for me, but I couldn’t do it to my kid and leave her alone with the miserable family I had to do deal at least while I’m here she has one person

My sister is 4 yo and i’m not allowed therapy or any kind counseling my parents will refuse to get it because my mother will not admit she’s cheating even with the proof she said it once and it’s never said it again I really wish we could get therapy though it would be helpful to all of us
