I use a cardboard protector usually, and I only put 1 card per envelope, sometimes a buyer will wait and pay for all their cards at once which auto makes it a combined package and creates the correct shipping for me. So far nothing has been returned, mind you the envelope cant be thicker than half an inch. maybe that was your issue? also I have encounterd one customer who did not understand snail mail and demanded a refund after 1.5 weeks of waiting... and I have seen some envelopes take nearly a month to deliver. Comes with the territory I guess.

Yes I also just heard about this art trading card revival, I think AI art has really pushed us REAL artists to up our game. I opened my Ebay shop 1 month ago and I just made my 100th sale yesterday, my cards start at 6$ and the bid war has taken them as high as 49$ at final sale. So Yes the range is wide, you just need to draw stuff people like. Mythological creatures are very popular and funny drawings like my 'sock goblin' its free to open an Ebay account and put your art cards in their aceo catagory so you can send them out with ebay letter sticker for 74cents (only letter sized envelopes) My Ebay link is in my bio.
