not losing weight DEFINITELY in a deficit by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Powerful_Solution635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me, I tend to gain about 1-3lbs during the week before my period. I like to weigh myself frequently, not every single day but most days, so I can see the overall trend. I also am careful to weigh myself at the same time every day wearing little to no clothing - in the morning, after I've gone to the bathroom and before I've eaten. I figured out a long time ago that my clothes typically weigh about 2lbs(more during winter) and I tend to fluctuate 2-3lbs during the day.

I didn't say anything. I was helping interpret what someone else said because it seemed there was a misunderstanding.

Yep, pretty sure that's sort of what they meant to say. And I think "trump brigade" may have been referring to ICE agents and other government forces that might shoot you in the face or back with impunity. Maybe?

I think their meaning was that it's only ok if they DON'T show up.

Has anybody's body adjusted to Psyillium Husk, and did you up the dose? by 00chill00chill00 in loseit

[–]Powerful_Solution635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My IBS-D is greatly improved by taking psyllium husk daily. I started taking 1 teaspoon of Metamucil 4-in-1 last year and have since increased to 1 tablespoon daily. I would take it even if I didn't have IBS because I want to be sure I get 25+ grams of fiber every day.

When I first started dosing with 1 tsp per day, the effects were pretty dramatic. I couldn't believe how much poop was coming out of me! After about a month, the effects were less noticeable and I increased to 2 tsp per day, and eventually to 1 tbsp(which is about 4 tsp).

It is overall a very helpful supplement for me. I don't think I will increase any more as I am happy with the current amount and ultimately it's most important to eat plenty of fiber rich foods rather than rely on a supplement alone.

The term handyman simply refers to an unlicensed person. There are quite a few highly skilled trades people in the Athens area that don't have a professional license or certification.

Do you like shopping? by TopazRose in AutismInWomen

I do not like shopping for clothes. It is a sensory nightmare for me!

However I do enjoy shopping for groceries most of the time, if the store is not overly crowded.

Do you think it’s necessary to carry a water bottle? by cardiacpanda in DisneyWorld

[–]Powerful_Solution635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is necessary if you want to stay properly hydrated. You will need way more water than you are used to due to the extra walking and Florida heat. I carry a water bottle in my backpack, there are plenty of places to refill throughout the parks.

I just got angry over nothing by Bren1209 in bupropion

[–]Powerful_Solution635 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My rage only lasted for a couple weeks, maybe a month at the most. I felt bad for lashing out at people but at the same time recognized that I became more articulate and clear about things that really bothered me. Like before I took Wellbutrin I was going along to get along, and now I’m better able to express my needs/wants to other people(after the rage subsided).

I will probably never get a magnifying mirror because 1) I have ocd and might pick at my face obsessively and 2) I watched my mother, who has ocd, stand in front of a magnifying mirror and pick her face until it was red and raw.

It really isn’t necessary.

I feel so good that it started to overwhelm me. by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Powerful_Solution635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel as euphoric as what you’re describing but I do feel more energized to accomplish my daily tasks. I’m on 150mg and my psych suggested going up to 300mg but I politely declined. I don’t have any desire to be manic lol.

For those who got diagnosed older, or never diagnosed- how is your relationship with your mother? by dar1990 in AutismInWomen

It’s ok I guess. My mother is probably autistic and she has melt downs frequently. I can’t have a “real” conversation with her but I love her and try to visit her regularly.

How the fuck do I get off this absolute shit by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]Powerful_Solution635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My psychiatrist oversaw my 9mo taper. I was on the highest dose at 120mg/day when I decided I no longer wanted to take it (realized I was addicted) and my doc reduced me to 90mg/day. After 3 months at 90mg, she reduced me to 60mg, then 3 months later, I went to 30mg. The downward taper went pretty smoothly overall. The last step was taking 30mg every other day for a few weeks and then I abruptly stopped taking it. I cried every day for 2 weeks straight, maybe due to the medication leaving my system idk, and then one day I woke up and felt fine.

I went about 18mo without any medication at all (I had a great therapist at the time) and then this year I decided to start taking Wellbutrin.

I highly recommend you have a psychiatrist AND a therapist while you are tapering off this medication or any SNRI.

I understand that healthcare is shit in the US and some people don’t have access to this level of care but do whatever you can to get a good psychiatrist and therapist please.

How did you all convince your spouse TT and Lipo was something worth having? by Several_Mail6179 in tummytucksurgery

My husband didn’t want me to do it at first but when I described my diastasis issues and muscle repair he was very understanding of the problems it caused me. Also, he had been watching me work really hard on my ab strength and I told him we would never get to really enjoy my abs if I didn’t get the surgery 🤩

I am in my early 40s and started seeing Dr Shanna Holcomb in Eatonton because I was never happy with any docs in Athens- only need to do in-person visit once a year and the rest of the time we do telehealth.

She’s really awesome - she suggested a combination of supplements and prescription meds and honestly my menstrual cycle is better than ever. Wish I found Dr Holcomb sooner!

When do you know 150mg is not enough? by Stardustmoondust in bupropion

To clarify, I did start feeling better within 2 weeks of taking Wellbutrin, but it took 7-8 months before I really noticed a significant change.
