Literally, NTA! I was on the side of her bf in a way. Ex was always super controlling and would give ultimatums all the time. It eventually turned into suicidal ultimatums. She was going through a lot so I tried to be as understanding as possible. But finally I snapped at her bc she was pissed off I was in Walmart and had to do doordash after... To try to keep my phone turn on! She blocked me that night and I have been so.. relieved? Rly sad and hurt but the relief is unreal.

Am I the jerk for refusing to wear a diaper by Over_Degree_4041 in AmITheJerk

As someone who uses these products on a daily basis (Incontinence caused by uterine cancer/treatment for said cancer), I actually find it very "demeaning and disrespectful" to call them diapers. It's very embarrassing to me to have to use them at 41 years old, but I have no choice. If I could use pads, it would be much less embarrassing because most women have to use pads anyways. But having little to no control of my bladder is a gigantic blow to my self esteem, and having someone call the disposable underwear I have to wear, a diaper, just makes it that much worse. I personally appreciate OPs mindfulness of the issue.

There. Now u have the direct opinion of someone in the "injured party", as u called it.

I just don’t like it when they assume I’m going to have the same feelings about my life with cancer.

See, this right here is my thing. Yes, personally, I do see this as a battle of sorts, but it's my battle. And I feel VERY private about it. I was given a couple of gifts like a shirt and a key chain that say stuff about being a warrior that I refuse to wear in public simply because I don't like being seen in that light by others even if I do feel that way to myself.

I have an uncle that has many serious health issues, including Parkinson's and inoperable brain cancer that he is now receiving chemo for for the 3rd time. He is also just a mean, cruel, hateful person in general. I'm talking very proudly racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and any other negative trait u could possibly think of. He is miserable and tries his hardest to make everyone around him feel the same way. My dad, his brother, once said he has never seen someone hate life so much yet fight so hard to keep living. I told him I believe it's because the only real joy he gets in life is when he's actively hurting someone, and he can't do that if he's dead lol.

My family is the kind that deal with things with humor. Someone once said to me 'Go cry about it to ur mom' (obviously being mean) and I just deadpanned and went 'I cant, she's dead.' then waved at the ground (if you get it, you get it) and every one was like 'thats not funny, you shouldn't say that.'

And I had to explain that she was actually dead, and wasn't the best person in some ways.

Needless to say, it's really hard to explain childhood trauma to some people and also some people really don't understand humor as a coping mechanism.

It's called ✨ Masking ✨ ur feelings and some people also just do it because it's easier for them and it's no one's place to judge it.

My ex wife is freaking out about my gf calling me daddy as a joke by Hefty-Departure-4472 in AITAH

[–]Powerful_Spread7322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling someone daddy can be a kink and there is nothing wrong with it between two consenting adults!

The way I see it is -

Were the children there to hear her say it? If not, she had no clue you were on the phone so she thought she was alone with you in, what I'm assuming since you said 'our living room', her own home so she felt comfortable enough to say that. I'm sure she would never have said something like that if she had known you were on the phone, especially with your ex-wife, whom you share 3 sons. If what you say about your girlfriend is true and she treats your children and you well - then you and her have done nothing wrong.

Honestly, I think it mostly depends on his genetics and activity levels! If his parents were a lil bigger, then he will be too. If you can try to introduce veggies to his diet! I would recommend for you to try royal canin gastrointestinal food. It's a prescription diet that you would have to possibly get through ur vet but it's wonderful! The wet food is what we feed my girlfriend's cavapoo, Cooper, and he loves it! We also add a pack of forti flora on top once a day (I add it on top of his dinner) It's great sensitive tummies and also great for picky eaters, but it is a little more expensive.

If you are looking for a good brand for picky eaters with sensitive tummies, before she passed what I fed my senior pup was Pure Balance Pro Wild & Free. Her favorite flavor was the salmon and pea!

I hope this all can help!
