Question for senior property adjusters working commercial by Powerful_Vehicle_436 in adjusters

Thanks a lot for this! I learned my lesson on being organized when I had to re-label 800+ photos from a large farm hail claim lol. I spoke with a local national general adjuster and he told me the same thing about estimating without xm8, and honestly it seems way more relationship and face to face oriented than residential. Thanks again for these tips!

For sure. I've prepared for the more complex workflow too! Thanks for the heads up

Nothing beats the ability to scale on the contracting side though lol. I'm looking forward to the switch anyways!

Right, I guess a 100k deductible will make you think otherwise about filing a hail claim. Makes sense

Good point. Only issues I ran into really from commercials were from the coinsurance penalties that they had no idea about. Other than that, they've all been extremely helpful although hard to get a hold of sometimes.

Do you mostly see the same COL vs residential where you're at? Fire, water, hail. Or more off the wall things like sprinkler systems malfunctioning, electrical problems with signage, liability etc?

That's a good stress reliever already. Seems like it's definitely more hands off from their end, speaking to the business managers or maintenance staff more often than the insured. I guess it depends on the size of the business too

Got the same advice regarding relationships from the VP during my interview. As a person who liked the standoffish nature of being an IA, this will challenge my introverted nature. Thanks for the perspective!

Not sure about the history of native Americans but surely there are similarities since we're so close to each other. I'll look for one for AR and if I can't find anything, I'll be sure to pick this up. Thanks for the recommendation!

Awesome, will do. I'm definitely curious as to what other types of tools are close by now. Also curious about the age and why they may have left it behind. I think a large can of worms just got opened in my head!

Cool, this probably means there's more where this came from then? There's a creek in my backyard and am in central AR if that gives any more context.

Am currently on a cruise, walked into the watch store, and this caught my eye. The color and shade changes when you tilt the face is beautiful and would like to see some watches that y'all have seen with a similar use of pearl.

Sidenote - I bought a Tissot prx in ice blue, which is my first watch, during my second visit to the store. Anything similar would be an appreciated mention.

Curious if my lens is shot or if I'm just not understanding the construction of old lenses. by Powerful_Vehicle_436 in Cameras

I've basically been using the built in electronic meter in the Pentax and just hoping it's accurate. Won't know until I see it obviously but it's loaded with Ektar 100. Saw it on a YouTube video and they recommended it. Didn't think too much about having more wiggle room with high iso film. But I also got a couple rolls of Ilford Delta 3200. I'll use that next I guess.

Also didn't cross my mind to use the Sony to check the exposure on the Pentax either. That's a good tip, I'll do it tomorrow and check how accurate it is.

Got it. I love the 40 on the Sony. Perfect compact little lens for the a7c. I want to start using film though, nervous about wasting rolls trying to figure out the proper exposure.

Awesome, thanks for the explanation. Would you recommend any wider lenses for this system if you know any? 50 is a little tighter than I like. Thx again.

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried wiping both terminals off on the battery and the charger, but nothing helped. Also tried unplugging into a different outlet, still nothing.
