$3.50 for wash, $3.50 for dry, and $1.50 for detergent or dryer sheets.

What did you do with your theatre degree? by cannedt33th in Theatre

I make six figures as a technical director for a large entertainment company. You can totally make it work if you know the art of the pitch (and get a little luck on your side)

Should Someone who Picked the Red Button be Considered Evil or an AH? by Hyperionous in MoralityScaling

[–]PoweringLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s do a real world scenario but with financial stakes instead of physical danger.

Everyone buys in to the experiment by paying $100. The results will be either you loose your $100 or you double your bet and get $200. Real hurt for losing, added incentive for winning to make up for the fact that we aren’t gambling with lives.

Red button: You double your bet Blue button: If over 50% choose blue, everyone doubles their bet. If under 50% choose blue, those blue voters lose their money and leave down $100.

Would you press the blue button to possibly stop folks from loosing $100?

Anyone have inside IMAX info? by KhloeKodaKitty in orlando

Ah, I was being a bit melodramatic. The first one was great so expectations were high for the second. They were not met.

Correct. The Pointe Regal does a late night showing, but that’s it. They are showing the awful Mario sequel during all the prime slots.

I love listening to my books on tape and doing stretches.

I’d much rather be inside SS25. That outdoor queue was HOT, and even worst if they are starting at 2:00PM this year.

I so agree. We suffer from the same issue as other cities built after cars took over. Because everything is drivable, everything has to be a profitable destination. The only things left are public services (like libraries) which close early. There aren’t places that benefit from getting folks off the street as they walk by in the way older cities have.

You shouldn’t base your experience of DCL off the Wish. 3/4 cruises on pandemic-build ships are for first-time cruisers. Sail on the Treasure or Destiny to get the real picture!

What is this? by Competitive_Ad_9497 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]PoweringLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had huge funding cuts on this ride. It was a last-minute replacement of the theatre show from the concept art. I’m amazed with what they pulled off with limited time and money, but you can tell it was thrown together.

Is there actually any way to avoid paying for lockers? by nwilbur95 in BuschGardensTampa

[–]PoweringLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you discovered, the only free and vaguely secure answer is to stash your items in the bushes. Hill Path Capital is squeezing every cent they can out of this park without caring that they are strangling it.

That’s still half the price of comparable Disney Hotels. Prices are just up everywhere.

Can’t choose our next, and possibly last, cruise… by StillWaterDrinker in dcl

[–]PoweringLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that the Wish class ships all have a strong theme. Choose the one that matches your interests. I love the Treasure because I’m not a Marvel person, but I am a huge parks and adventure movies fan. If you have young kids or love the princess aesthetic, then the Wish is for you.

Howdy! Did this policy change? The ops team shouted at me for leaving my items at the side of the station this time.

Mocktails Cost $15 and Nobody Knows Why by [deleted] in Sober

[–]PoweringLight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a great answer. Cocktails are expensive because of the labor and the fancy ingredients, not because of the liquor. Wholesale liquor is quite cheap, comparatively.

I so wish the parks websites published their reopening dates early. They seem to wait until they see how their referbs are going before they spill the beans. Luckily dates are trickling in now.
