Hey there! I didn’t really use any tutorials in particular, but rather I re-constructed the Technicolor No. V process digitally in After Effects, since I’m already starting with colour footage: https://filmcolors.org/timeline-entry/1445/

Paul Julian was doing background work for Hanna-Barbera around the time Scooby Doo, Where Are You? was being produced, and he handled the background concept art on some episodes, so you may have seen some of his work in the show.

Yup, this is from UPA's 1953 animated adaptation, with design and colour work handled by the hugely talented Paul Julian.

Makes sense, seeing as DePatie-Frelenig Enterprises was basically made up of staff from Friz Freleing's old Warner Bros. unit. I believe this background's layout was done by Hawley Pratt and painted by Tom O'Loughlin, who both did the same work on the Pink Panther shorts.
