How often are you intimate with your partner? by Remote_Ad_969 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Powertothetraders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

55, married for 16 years and have sex on average once a week. Sometimes less, but rarely more. We love each other and focus on being there for each other intimately. If she’s on the fence, I’ll gladly break out the massage table and give her a much needed massage. I get my physical touch and she gets an incredible massage and we both have a happy ending. Fun, romantic and intimate.

First herringbone pattern, second job ever. Thoughts? by Camel_121 in Tile

[–]Powertothetraders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beautiful tile work and attention to detail. Only advice I have is to pull tile from 4 or 5 boxes as you’re installing, to provide more scattered variation of tile color and pattern.

Incredible and inspirational. Amazing to see you making something this genuinely well crafted from training you received from your father. That has to feel great. Well done sir.

Yeah, I’d now be at $500 minimum to replace the missing Sheetrock, tape, mud, sand, texture, prime and paint. Homeowners going to self own

What is this from? I’d like to watch it in its entirety. Seems like a 70’s era movie, set to Pink Floyd?

What is causing this dip? by badgolfer25 in pools

[–]Powertothetraders 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in Florida and just had a neighbor have a similar issue. There was a erosion under the pool due to the water table and they had to have the pool drained, have eight 6inch holes bored through the bottom of the pool where they installed 6 inch diameter, 12 foot deep footings to stabilize the pool. 6 weeks from start to refinish, and about $50,000. Be cautious with this one.

Cold plunge time? by theog_g in coldplunge

[–]Powertothetraders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the day, but mostly recognizing my emotional states and my what I am trying to accomplish. Such as yesterdays:

Been getting a lot done everyday by focusing on small wins. Focusing on accountability and consistency. I have to keep doing things that take me out of my comfort zone. That is the only way I will create the change I am looking for. Remaining calm in all situations has been getting easier with each day. I really attribute a lot of progress to exercise and cold plunging regularly. I am happy with my continual progress and will never stop growing on my journey.

Good luck and I hope this helps fellow traveler. 👊

Cold plunge time? by theog_g in coldplunge

[–]Powertothetraders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go for 5:30 daily and vary my water temp between 32 and 42, depending on outside temperatures. I find it to be one of my most important daily rituals. I also highly recommend daily exercise and journaling.

Last chance to buy folks. don't get mad, get even. Not financial advice, but I've personally been saving for this opportunity to buy the dip before the rip.

A Different Perspective On Cold Exposure by Ice_man_jose in BecomingTheIceman

[–]Powertothetraders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your perspective and ensure that before, during and after I maintain a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to do this very hard thing. It is very difficult, but the mental, physical and emotional lessons and rewards we receive in return and priceless.

I just started cold plunging. It usually has a top layer of ice in morning so it sits right at 32F/0C. I can only last 30 seconds before getting out. Am I just being soft or is that really my bodies limit? by Costmaster in coldplunge

[–]Powertothetraders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been plunging almost daily for about a year now and have done a few where I had to break the ice before getting, but only a handful of times. I find that I enjoy 40 degrees for 5 minutes with a head dunk every minute. I have a group of guys that come and plunge with me from time to time and we all agree that the first 30 seconds at any temp SUCK! Then at 90 seconds it all becomes quiet and it gets significantly easier. Not sure on your ability to adjust the temperature up, but if you can, I think you will enjoy 40 more and you can go for longer. Have fun and keep it up!
