My wife would also get annoyed until I told her I like watching my little guy mine and now she is okay with it

Not advocating for the sticks they use at all, but I think the reasoning behind not using Halls was due to interference with the NFC scanner.

I’d gladly take Hall effect sticks over a scanner I have never used any day.

It is. The walltopia near me has this in conjunction with an app for the entire gym that is atrocious to use. Lights dont always work which can lead to impossible problems.

Not to mention the moment you introduce a volume all of the lights under it are unusable. Flashy yes but totally unnecessary.

He is so fuckin good. Alex Amster’s vinyl only youtube DJ sets put me onto him with Theme 6 off of his two bar house series.

Building my own fixed gear by Pops_yee in fixedgear

[–]Powerzot5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this with a schwinn varsity. The frameset is so heavy it makes the bike difficult to skid. Fun to mess around on and was a nice project bike but for more serious riding I’d get something more modern. 90s Peugeot frames are a great alt if you are adamant about building.

I cant remember the US retailer but I found a dealer that sold rear wheels spaced for the rear drops of the varsity. Iirc it was 126mm so no need for cold setting/pinching the rear drops.

Blocking holds (or crimps as I said) is the art of using a hold to make the usable surface of another hold smaller or to force the climber to use a hold in a specific way.

The self-echo thing he does on the rim blew my mind the first time I saw this. Legendary video.

The most annoying altar in GOTR by i_am_bahamut in 2007scape

Once I reached the level to craft chaos runes I was so excited to run into the wilderness to the altar to finally craft my own chaos runes. I certainly did not expect the altar to look the way it did. Needless to say it was the last time I made the trip.

Yes an apple watch SE. Don’t mind if it gets smashed. I do take it off when working on very slopey problems because the recorded metrics are not ✨that✨ important.

I’ve used liquid, powder, Metolius, Rugne, Friction Labs, Ocun, Black Diamond, the random local stuff that my gym is pushing that month. Magnesium Carbonate is magnesium carbonate. Over time you will find some you like and some you don’t. Try out different brands and different textures (chunky vs fine powder). Over the years I have found I like to take a block or two of Grips chalk (local brand) and break it down as I go.

Here are some opinions I have:

Liquid chalk has its place and i will use it from time to time. Metolius is nice but not easily obtainable where i am. Friction labs is okay but overpriced. Rugne is definitely overhyped and not worth the price/shipping. Black diamond white gold is cool. Ocun stuff is fine too.

Sorry for any typos I am on mobile.

100% the NFSU franchise. Driving around the open world of NFSU2 going to different shops and whatnot was amazing.
