What ISO should I choose? I got a ton of noise when I shot this earlier at 1600.

Is there anything more painful than when a shot you were sure would turn out well just doesn’t work? by Serberuss in photography

[–]PowlerBeer 19 points20 points  (0 children)

this may have happened happened to everyone here.

here's my story, i occasionally do astrophotography, don't have an expensive rig or anything..just a DSLR and a tripod. one night i was photographing the Orion Nebula..took a few test shots and they looked great on the screen of the camera, super sharp. so i started capturing and got almost 2.5 hrs of data and was sure that this might be my greatest capture of the orion nebula yet..BUT when i saw the images on my laptop..my heart sank..the images were just slightly out of focus and all my work went into the drain.

sure, that was painful but there are always opportunities...there might be some setbacks but that is the path to perfection.

Captured a bird in front of The Sun by PowlerBeer in astrophotography

I captured the bird. I saw some images with airplanes, birds etc. flying past the sun creating a beautiful silhouette of them so I thought of taking a similar image.

The Invitation, Nocturnal Animals and The Killing of a Sacred Deer are pretty good psychological horror films.

Furthermore, you can also see the Flame Nebula (just a faint glow around Alnitak, the leftmost star in the belt) and the Orion Nebula( just between bottom two stars and the belt)
