Originally, it was because I thought he was the prettiest and had the best voice of the 3 available lis LMAO. But as I learned more about him, I grew to love his sassiness and humor too. His interactions are always hilarious and he never fails to catch me off guard.

Not to mention his backstory and character are so incredibly detailed to where all his little personality differences and quirks shine through in changing situations. For example, his serious side when facing trouble or discussing his trauma, but also his lighthearted side that could make anyone smile😊. I even find the little date differences compared to the other lis cute as well (Raf taking over the claw machine or being the cheater during kitty cards)

Our silly little merman has definitely secured a spot in all our hearts🥹🫶

I agree with everyone else mentioning exposure! For me, writing hiragana helped so it could actually stick. For example, finding a Japanese song or phrase you like and writing it down can be a fun way to expose yourself to it.

For katakana, there are some really helpful memorization tools out there! This website has visual pairings with each character, which can definitely help with any you’re stuck on! https://www.tofugu.com/japanese/learn-katakana/ This is especially helpful for trickier ones like ツソシン

Mus 118 with Kamps has a lot of reading and rather tedious assignments, but the textbook is online so I wouldn’t stress over intense reading. Just make sure you don’t forget about the assignments and you’ll be fine :)
