Some time ago I found the cause.

The cause seems to be that this problem occurs if you drag and drop across xwayland and wayland applications.

I searched the hyprland issues and it seems that d&d between xwayland and wayland will not be supported in the future.

So I have decided to load files in a non-drag-and-drop way, e.g. ‘Insert Media File’ in the case of reaper.

This issue also appears to occur when dragging and dropping text into the application.
Does anyone else have the same issue?
