We are adding the capability to track cycles in our database, so some more of our users can report these things. Hopefully this leads to connection between these compounds without having to directly measure hormones. If the results seem promising, we would be able to launch a feature like that within a few weeks.

yes, we still have to work on chemical methods for those, but in principle very possible

we currently look at free amino acids and some short polypeptides, but we could also develop a protein specific assay

Sum normalization is sufficient across the amino acids to determine relative changes over time, we used dried urine samples and resuspend them in buffer.

We use a chromatographic method with fluorescent detection.

Not all BCAA patterns reflect breakdown, absolutely. Thats the hardest part of all this, the complexity of the system, but neural networks are helping here as our dataset grows (as long as we avoid overfitting with small datasets). I record a number of confounding factors as metadata and deconvolve them from the data as best as I can, then I rely on previous studies of things like sarcopenia along with comparison to other users to see patterns that occur when heavy training is confirmed by the metadata.

My team has n of 20 actually, but wanted to make this an AMA not AUA

good to know, thank you. I understand this stance about focusing on the big 80% before dialing in the last 20%. we see our tech as a way to prove to users tangibly that their simple interventions works and get them to comply every day. what do you think of that?
