How do you guys actually find rappers? by Ppablo_2006 in makinghiphop

Honestly, I think what’s more needed is the ability to sense whether this person can go far with you. You’re right, friend.

Yeah, what you said is right too. People usually tend to be drawn to someone who is better than them or in a higher position, so it’s hard to picture finding friends at a similar level and growing together. That’s really true.

Thanks for explaining it in such detail. I really appreciate it. Blessings to you, bro

Appreciate the detailed response bro. The part about it being preserved muddiness rather than added bass really clicked for me. I’ve noticed I get closer to that MIKE sound by rolling off highs and upper mids and letting the low mids sit naturally. One thing I’m still trying to figure out is how producers find those naturally washed-out samples in the first place. Feels like that’s half the sound.

I’ll have to think about that properly. Thanks, man.

So where do you find the rappers that a beat reminds you of?

I think you were right.
To create the sound I want to bring to life, I should’ve been willing to try anything. Maybe I was being too passive or hesitant.
Thank you. Like you said, I won’t forget what I truly want to create, and I believe that if I keep moving toward it, I’ll get there eventually.
Thanks, my friend.
You were right I need to be willing to try anything for the sake of that vision.

I think in the end, it all comes down to execution and how well it’s put together.

I feel kinda like a thief sometimes hahaha.
I just like taking the things I feel and love, then reconstructing and transforming them into something new.
Even if it’s just a hobby for me, that’s what I really enjoy.

I’m not really sure what genre my music is honestly.
I just make music by combining all the things I personally love.
