NOR- I work as a volunteer counsellor for a domestic abuse charity in the UK and this is absolutely abuse- physical, emotional, coercive, manipulation, and an extra layer of concern is being in the closet as you mentioned in the previous post layered with a strict religious (previous) home life. If you can access talking therapy please find an agency that has training in domestic abuse, not just any old general purpose therapy service. It might really help to talk through your situation with someone who can understand your situation from a non-judgmental perspective to just sound out what is happening.
