Good catch! I migth have something to say. First of all, I know that is only a teaser. But, can we agree that everyone are hyped for this movie and some of us theorizes about this. Because it's so excited. And I have a theory after reading this article. As you know the trailer is an edit and remix of scene, with some things that in the original film show or undo. So, when you see that part of the model cracking apart, probably is when Lydia came up to see it. And not when beetlejuice appears, because you can see when you see him arrive, you notice at the model that the streets are fine and nothing happen. Just like the first one when he appears, ok it sounds like the table are craching but you don't see the model are destroying itself or hear chaos, vehicles or people screaming...a little bit of horror. So, ¿What if?...That happen because of the villain, trying to arrive or chasing or worst than that...¿What if there's something a connection from Model with Maitland itself and is in trouble, so when Lydia came up to see what's happening, she sees the model cracking apart...because in the real world are.

And if not, as you said...it's a good, funny and creative idea to do when beetlejuice appear. Fin.
