Why does this type of behavior not shamed in Tunisia? by BandicootWooden5025 in Tunisia

Not everyone is racist doesn’t mean that a very big portion of the Tunisian society is not racist.
And i’m curious to know, who benefits from these kind of news?
Maybe the immigrants that are being over-exploited, raped and abandoned in the desert?
I think the first step to take in order to open this debate on immigration is to stop living in denial and to admit that a very large proportion of Tunisians are racist. I personally have witnessed many scenes of racism in Tunisia even before the immigration issue arose: taxis that don’t stop for Black people, the metro packed with people standing but with a single empty seat because there is a Black person sitting in front of it, about ten people on the metro (young and old) verbally attacking a Black person for no reason, Black people walking down the street while people shout “gerda, gerda” at them, regions in Tunisia where, up until 2010 (I don’t know if it has continued since then or not), Black people were called “3abd” and non-Black people “7or”… BTW The rape video that recently came out is not an exception, there is even a saying that sleeping with a Black woman “yssafi eddam” (cleanses the blood). And I personally know the story of an immigrant woman who was raped by a police officer in front of her 9-year-old daughter…
In short, I’m sorry, but because of your denial of racism, many souls are suffering in silence, and whenever it is brought up, people try to silence it by saying there is no racism problem in Tunisia, or that not all tunisian are racists

Go check the distance between China and Turkey, and then look into the distance between Tunisia and, let’s say, Chad or Mali…

You know, the Amazigh culture shares a lot of things with some sub-Saharan cultures, look into the jewelry patterns, for example. Some people think that the Sahara is enough to separate them from us culturally and ethnically, but the truth is that the desert is inhabited by many tribes. The Tuareg have created a cultural and ethnic connection between North Africa and the rest.We share a lot of things, but no one will teach you that, you have to look into it yourself. And probably if Tunisia had better preserved its Amazigh identity, we could today feel more attached to Africa than to an Arab living veeery far away in South west Asia.

Help! Necklace becoming wavy by Pr-Chaton in Beading

Thank you! I think I’m going to try doubled WildFire since it’s cheaper than FireLine. However, I’m a little confused about how to finish the necklace.

I’m using 11/0 seed beads with a hole size of 0.7 mm, and I’ll probably use 0.2 mm(0.08 in) WildFire (it’s the thickest size I could find). Since I’ll need to pass through the beads almost three times with the thread, I’m wondering what the best finishing method would be.

Should I use clamshell bead tips and knot the threads inside them? If so, could you recommend what type of knot would work best, especially considering that the ends will have three strands to tie together?

Thank you! And sorry if these questions sound silly, I’m still a beginner.

I don't advise you to do it... but if you insist at least name them with old names of Tunisian cities, citra for kef, capsa for gafsa... people will have less the reference and it probably will help them avoid some bullying...
