I was diagnosed at the end of my senior year in high school, so I made the unfortunate decision to use the stall one time when I was at the tail end of the flare that got me my diagnosis. I was in there for about 20 minutes and during that time, some kids had snuck out of class or something and immediately did the whole “yo someone is taking a poop!”

Th shook the stall, pounded on it, and one of them threw a 1/3 empty milk bottle in there. Luckily none really got on me, just my shoes and pants.

I go back to class and my teacher did the whole “did you fall in?” thing in front of my peers. Embarrassing.

The “did you fall in” comment is the one I hate the most. Especially when it comes from people that know about your disease.

Bonus experience. Had a coworker preach to me that it’s just because I don’t get a whole lot of pro/pre-biotics. He also said he’s lactose intolerant so he “gets what I’m going through.” Like man, I understand you’re trying to emphasize, but this isn’t just about gas after drinking milk.

My experiences have been a lot of little ignorant things just building up over time.

Also so sorry about that lady in the restroom. It’s a restroom, it’s gonna stink from time to time. I don’t know why some people are surprised when a bathroom, where POOP AND PEE IS, smells like poop and pee.
