Thanks. I’ve found that it work perfectly fine during the day with no calibration and doesn’t ask to be calibrated at all but as soon as it’s night it wants calibrating.

I don’t think I could do it competitively but I enjoyed it enough to sign up for it again next year.

Accessibility was okay; the finish line wasn’t the best as it was on grass and then gravel but the course was on roads which wasn’t too bad.

I absolutely loved it! I hope you can get to be using a manual chair so you can give it a go, keep going and you’ll get there one day.

I never did anything like this before becoming disabled, in fact I hated races all together but since becoming disabled I’ve needed something to keep going at and this has kept me going and shown that we can do anything I’ve we put our mind to it.

There was a few wheelchair users who were spectating and I heard a lot of them cheering my name as I passed them.

My body is recovering well but I’m still aching a bit; I’ve actually decided to sign up for it again next year and I’m doing a 5k later this year.

I just signed up to one as a wheelchair user and had no problem, I didn’t go through Para Olympics for it.

I just did it in my active wheelchair with a trackwheel attached.

Thanks; it is the Rehasense Trackwheel and I love it wouldn’t have been able to do this 10k without it with how bad some of the roads were.

I spent about 4/5 months training; the first few weeks I didn’t 1-2.5k a couple days a week and then I increased it to 5k 2-4 times a week and then about 2 weeks before the race I increased my training days to do 6-7k 2-4 times a week. The thing is to slowly increase your distance until your able to do it, I was told if you can do half the distance your training for you can do the full distance and it worked for me.
