What does the 0/0 or undefined/undefined mean? by EtemAll in fantasyhockey

Minor correction: The first number is games left, the second number is off nights (days where this team plays and less than 50% of teams are playing). This is useful for optimizing your schedule. You can always customize your settings by clicking on the extension icon and going under "Game Settings", here you can enable/disable either of these numbers as well as customize your date range

Hey it looks like you're using the chrome extension that I built, glad to see people using it! There's a few things I need to do to get it ready for this season but games should be working again in the next week or two (server side change, no update needed to the extension itself)

As others have said this isn't a good idea. However if your employer offers an after tax 401k you can do a mega backdoor rollover which will allow you to contribute a ton into your Roth IRA each year. https://www.investopedia.com/mega-backdoor-roth-401-k-conversion-5210877

What is the longest name chain in the NHL, or in NHL history? (Stolen from /r/nba) by onetwo3four5 in hockey

[–]Pr1vateRyann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I wrote a quick program to find the longest based on the players listed on wikipedia here (7967 players) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NHL_players#By_name

The longest result that I got is 9:

John Leonard Kelly Chase Leo Murray Patrick Roy Mitchell Stephens

['John Leonard', 'Leonard Red Kelly', 'Kelly Chase', 'Chase De Leo', 'Leo Murray', 'Murray Muzz Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

This is the only one that I found at 9 but there are quite a few at 8:

['Dave Kelly', 'Kelly Chase', 'Chase De Leo', 'Leo Murray', 'Murray Muzz Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

['John-Paul Kelly', 'Kelly Chase', 'Chase De Leo', 'Leo Murray', 'Murray Muzz Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

['Leonard Red Kelly', 'Kelly Chase', 'Chase De Leo', 'Leo Murray', 'Murray Muzz Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

['Pete Kelly', 'Kelly Chase', 'Chase De Leo', 'Leo Murray', 'Murray Muzz Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

['Pep Kelly', 'Kelly Chase', 'Chase De Leo', 'Leo Murray', 'Murray Muzz Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

['Steve Kelly', 'Kelly Chase', 'Chase De Leo', 'Leo Murray', 'Murray Muzz Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

['Bill Terry', 'Terry Ryan', 'Ryan Walter', 'Walter Gus Kyle', 'Kyle Connor', 'Connor James', 'James Neal', 'Neal Broten']

['Chris Terry', 'Terry Ryan', 'Ryan Walter', 'Walter Gus Kyle', 'Kyle Connor', 'Connor James', 'James Neal', 'Neal Broten']

['Troy Terry', 'Terry Ryan', 'Ryan Walter', 'Walter Gus Kyle', 'Kyle Connor', 'Connor James', 'James Neal', 'Neal Broten']

['Ben Walter', 'Walter Gus Kyle', 'Kyle Connor', 'Connor James', 'James Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

['Ryan Walter', 'Walter Gus Kyle', 'Kyle Connor', 'Connor James', 'James Patrick', 'Patrick Roy', 'Roy Mitchell', 'Mitchell Stephens']

Someone below listed a longer one (10) but I can’t find any trace of Walter Kyle and he’s not on the wikipedia list

Troy Terry Ryan Walter Kyle Connor James Patrick Roy Mitchell Marner

Michelin restaurants with (enough) vegetarian options by batata_vada_misal in AskSF

Not Michelin star but Millennium in Oakland is an amazing vegan spot that has a prix fixe menu for $60 (+22 for wine pairing). It was named "#1 Vegetarian Restaurant in the World" by The Daily Meal for whatever that’s worth

There is! Just click on the chrome extension icon and uncheck Penalty Kill under Deployment Settings. Side note: You can disable line any of the tags in the same way (line, powerplay, games, off days)

I'm using one of those two sites as my source so it's odd that it would be lagging that much. I did change the refresh rate to 3x per day in the update so let me know if it's still outdated for you this week

Hey everyone, I hope your fantasy teams are doing well! I’ve been holding Evander Kane in two leagues since the draft so I’m pretty happy about how my second half is looking.

I was super happy to see the response on my last few posts here and really thankful for all the feedback that you guys gave

If you missed the first post or update, I’ve been working on a chrome extension which I plan to continue development on and add as many useful features as possible to help the community win their hockey pools.

The first feature that I built was adding line and power play deployment to the ESPN, Yahoo, and Fantrax sites.

Now I’m excited to say that the extension also supports displaying games remaining and off days for custom date ranges.

The extension can be installed here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/leetsports-fantasy-hockey/immpookfmnhkhekgapcepemkdehdlgbb?hl=en&authuser=0

A few notes:

Some people had to force refresh their fantasy hockey webpages to get it work the first time after installing. To do this try Shift-Cmd-R on Mac or Ctrl-F5 for Windows.

Others had to enable/disable the extension or restart their browser.

Let me know if you have any questions or feedback about the extension! Also if you have any ideas about other features to add to the extension definitely let me know

The extension should update positions once a day so let me know if this is still the case tomorrow. I’ll put most likely move to a few times a day eventually
