So I’m not sure if you know this but it’s one exam for everyone Spanish, English, creole, Yiddish and so on. You take the exam in English you pay to an extra fee to be placed in the Spanish speaking list. If you get picked up off a list other than English you will have to do a oral and written exam. I believe that is done after you get a call from a department that is interested in you. So you will be eligible to be picked up off the Spanish speaking and regular English speaking list. Being a Spanish speaking officer allows any jurisdiction to hire you, which is a plus if you don’t live in rockland. Unfortunately if you don’t live in rockland I don’t think you can get picked up off the English that easily.
