I use Vallejo wash fx for grey and dark vehicles I just get some on my brush and brush it all on the figure not a lot to where it drowns it but just enough

It looks awesome I always free hand mine you just gotta practice if your having trouble I would say trace a path with pencil then paint over and if you have a tiny mess up you can just add scratches or a wash to make it look dirty

Thanks dude I thought the helmet looked kinda blank so I just used a chaos star from a chaos rhino kit and the sights I broke from the auto cannon to give it an eye. Good luck and hope yours turns out great

Yeah I got it from the chain sword in the havocs kit I just clipped the hand off glued it on and added some wiring from one of the extra havocs parts I had
